I dont know! We watch animal planet and they have a show Animal Cops Miami and they talk about them getting in pools and ponds~!taeja71 said:they'd climb a wall?![]()
Our friends in Melbourne have a screened in pool too. It was nice, but I had the sneaking suspicion that it was blocking the sun and keeping me from getting tanner.LCTsMom said:A pool cage is a screen enclosure around a pool. No way! I'm majoring in Marine Biology and Orca Whales, along with dolphins, are one of the animals that I want to work with. I would KILL to go kayaking...and swimming with orcas! Take me with you??

Yup, that's pretty much it. And also, yes, they keep out the gators. A lot of the communities around here are built around manmade lakes. Gators have been known to come right up to the front door at people's houses. How creepy is THAT?!?purplern said:

I had to pull over, I was shaking so hard. The kids couldn't figure out why I was freaked out...they thought it was funny.LCTsMom said:Kayaking with whales looks amazing!! I went on a whale watch, years ago in Cape Cod. It was awesome!!!![]()
Not too creepy. My grandpa has a picture of a gator right up at his front door where he used to live in Florida. I think it's kinda cool, actually. I think the gators by him aren't the extremely vicious, man-eating type...at least...I hope so...LCTsMom said:Yup, that's pretty much it. And also, yes, they keep out the gators. Actually, I think all gators are the ferocious man eating type and they scare the H-E-double hockey sticks out of me.PirateCutie05 said:Not too creepy. Teaja, I like that picture of the sandcastle and DCL in the background. Very pretty.![]()
I know someone whose dog was killed & eaten by a gator on Sanibel. They're everywhere, constantly biting or killing someone in our local news. They're not afraid of humans anymore and they come right up to people and their homes and pets. I'll stick to "Swampee" our Florida Everblades ECHL hockey mascot as far as gators go (except he has terrible b.o.
)
