A pool cage is a screen enclosure around a pool. It keeps leaves and bugs out, almost all pools in Florida are screened in. I'd never seen one in NJ but they're big here.

And Gators! ;)

Our friends in Melbourne have a screened in pool too. It was nice, but I had the sneaking suspicion that it was blocking the sun and keeping me from getting tanner. :rotfl:

do people have tarp or wire fencing? both?

I got another trip I want to go on. Up in Washington-the San Juan Islands kayaking with ORCAS!!!!!

Yup, that's pretty much it. And also, yes, they keep out the gators. A lot of the communities around here are built around manmade lakes. Gators have been known to come right up to the front door at people's houses. How creepy is THAT?!? :scared1:

Lisa, I just turned the siggy lines back on and I like your Aaarrgg part.

yeah he's fine... he hasn't even had the car a week! actually he seems to be in a not too upset mood about it. i said 'kill kill kill' but he was like nah i'll just get an estimate and i don't care how high it is

I almost had an accident a few days after we bought our new(est) car...I was driving down a major street and saw movement out of the corner of my eye...a truck had rolled out of the parking lot to my right! It was on the side of a huge hill, so it just hopped right over the curb and kept on going! All I could think was, "It's the first time I get to drive this car and now I'm going to wreck it!" I hit the brakes, but of course anti-lock brakes don't let you slow down very quickly. I swear that the truck missed me by inches. It rolled past in front of me and into someone in the left turn lane. I had to pull over, I was shaking so hard. The kids couldn't figure out why I was freaked out...they thought it was funny.

Not too creepy. My grandpa has a picture of a gator right up at his front door where he used to live in Florida. I think it's kinda cool, actually. I think the gators by him aren't the extremely vicious, man-eating type...at least...I hope so...

Teaja, I like that picture of the sandcastle and DCL in the background. Very pretty. :goodvibes

Phew, I just had to go through all those pages and I am now going to be sooooo late for work :)

Oh well.

Sugaswim.. find me on facebook
I'm the only Patsy in the WVU Network..

Actually, I think all gators are the ferocious man eating type and they scare the H-E-double hockey sticks out of me. :rotfl: I know someone whose dog was killed & eaten by a gator on Sanibel. They're everywhere, constantly biting or killing someone in our local news. They're not afraid of humans anymore and they come right up to people and their homes and pets. I'll stick to "Swampee" our Florida Everblades ECHL hockey mascot as far as gators go (except he has terrible b.o. :rotfl: )
