I'm up too. I'm really a night person--wake me up at 7am, and I'll have a hard day. But keep me up until 3am, and I'm okay. :confused3 I remember the days before the internet as terribly frustrating. :rotfl2:

PS--I hope that everyone who is going to use Magical Express has called to arrange it! :moped: I keep forgetting to call during business hours...do you think they have e-mail?? :surfweb: I'm supposed to be going to bed early to get used to the earlier times we have to get up at while in Florida. It's not working, can you tell? :sunny:

Hi Dawn :wave2:

I'm a night person too. It started when I was working in the evenings but now I work alllll day long so I really should be getting to bed earlier but my body isn't cooperating.

Doesn't help that I get on here and get all excited about the trip and then go to bed and lay there thinking and planning and thinking and planning and making lists over and over in my head.

Brain just doesn't want to shut off sometimes....

Whoops.. sorry.. nope, not asleep. Haha.

I was filling out a survey on my Myspace and putting some pictures in my Facebook.

I see you all... LOL!

I just thought of the fact that I ought to be doing online check-in for the cruise...Oh, well. My poor hubby's dragging me to bed, and I'm babysitting tomorrow. Night, folks! I'll think of you all when I'm lying in bed, staring at the ceiling and thinking about all those cruise things I haven't done yet....

I feel bad for you. You must feel like your hung over every day. When you do fall asleep, will you sleep long?

I wouldn't know, I've never had a hangover.. Haha. The only effects of drinking, or 'whooping it up' I've ever had are a headache. Most people try to party with me in the hopes I'll fall asleep.. but I never, ever do. Maybe thats why I never get the hangover?? :confused3

After the first day, I'm fine. Can't even tell. I'm usually pretty hyper and smiley and giggly. The second night usually doesn't phase me much either. I have very obvious rings under my eyes and sometimes might not comprehend everything you say to me, but it's hard to really notice I haven't been sleeping. :rotfl: The third night I get a little frustrated and it makes me kinda not-fun to be around. I get mad that all these people I'm around can sleep and I don't so I usually just.. am very irritable :furious: .. I also don't let myself drive anymore which just makes me angrier because if I work, I have to call off.. and I walk around like a human zombie...who looks a bit like this  ... and I usually get sick, too. I had mono and it kiiiiiilled my immune system, I still haven't recovered from it because I wasn't sleeping. I went months without my doctors realizing that was why I wasn't getting better and it tore up my liver pretty bad.. they almost admitted me into the hospital to make sure I wouldn't have liver failure.. my tummy was all swollen from my liver and spleen and bleck, it was miserable.. so by day 4 my body pretty much gives up and I *usually* sleep. I've only ever gone four nights without sleep twice.. and I had loooots of caffeine which set all my symptoms back.

Fun stuff! :) :sad2:

To answer whoever elses question..
Any given night I sleep 3-4 hours.. maybe a bit more, depends
When I crash and don't sleep for a couple days in a row and finally sleep it's more like 9-12..

That just stinks Patsy. I hope you go to sleep soon. I have a hard time falling asleep because of all the caffeine I drink all day. NOTHING LIKE YOU THOUGH!

Well I am guessing that the folks on the west coast are sleeping now.....I see the last post logged at 4:17 a.m. Florida time. :rotfl2: I'm a night owl but it doesn't work well when I have to wake up early. I'd much rather stay up chatting on the internet with all of you.

Patsy, so sorry to hear that you have to go through that all the time. Frustrating is an understatement! I can't even imagine. I'm sure you wish they could shoot you with a tranquilizer gun to put you down for a while. I've had Mono and I can only imagine how much worse it must be after your body is so run down from lack of sleep. It must take you ages to build yourself back up. Do you get B12 shots or anything like that? My thoughts are with you that you are deep in slumberland as I type! Best wishes! :faint:

Lori, I'd love to know what went on before the cops came. ::cop: Must've been good. :rotfl:

Those costumes are so good. Great pics of every one's family. My husband will probably kill me if he sees that I posted pics of the kids.

Now to vent,

As you guys know my husband is a cast member. We booked a land/sea package that he is able to receive. We did get a discount but nothing to write home to mom about. We were not able to purchase the free dining which I was fine with. Now I here we can't get CM discounts on our food because they black out discounts during free dining. I have some things to say about that but I won't. Any suggestions? We will be at WDW for 5 days and have to pay full price on all food. :furious:

Mom_of_twoprincesses,
I also had a Land/sea booked and I "unbooked/Re-booked seperate" it to get the free dining. I did not save that much $$$,as my cruise increased in price in proportion to what I had to pay at a later date. I did save a few hundred, but not as much as if I had booked it seperatley in the beginning. I wrote to the president of DCL and received a standard answer of how the Dining plan is not available to DCL..etc.. blah blah blah... It was an eye opening experience how little the "park" people talk to the "cruise"side of the business. They need to improve that, or do a better job letting people know upfront when they book the package.

Some of those policies really stink! We are passholders and don't book packages so we can't take advantage of the free dining plan either. I am amazed at the lack of perks we get as passholders/Florida residents, etc... If we didn't love Disney as much as we do it would be better to take advantage of the deals that the other area theme parks offer. They've got us though, and they know it. They certainly don't do anything extra to make us want to stay.

Thanks everyone!
It's really not so bad on a day-to-day basis because It's all I really remember.

Before I got mono and was actually diagnosed I just thought my friends slept a whole lot more than me. Thought of insomnia never occured to me.. until my mom told my doctor I'd been like that since I was 9 and she was hoping I'd grow out of it.. :rotfl:

I bet Christmas Eve was fun with me around :goodvibes :rotfl2:

I have to say, Noggin is a great family dog and is incredibly quick on picking up things. He learned "sit" on the first day just by watching Oscar! He is also surprisingly gentle. More so than Oscar.

Word of warning with a Staffie: be prepared to have EVERYONE think he is an aggressive pitbull just based on appearance. I love pitbulls and have had a soft spot for them for a long time because as long as they are not abused they are GREAT dogs. Noggin is NOT a pit, but he is in the pit family. And then when you tell them no, he's a Staffie, they look at you like "oh, is THAT what you call him?" :confused3

Anyhow, they're wonderful. My whole dog gallery is right here - it's 2 pages total. I'll see if I can find a recent pic of DH and I too!

Very cute! We found a breeder about an hour away that seems like she is really wonderful and has a true love of Staffie's. She only does so many litters per year and is actually done for 2006. So we plan on riding down to see her in the fall and hope to convince her to let us buy one from her 2007 litter. She prefers only families or people who want to show. Apparently she turns quite a few away that want her Staffies.

Okay, can I get your first name? I don't think I can keep calling you the "dog lady from the cruise" when talking to DBF.
