keep us posted o.k.? Gosh, how horrible. :sad2:
Our NBC local news just said that the Coast Guard states it was a steering problem that lifted one side out of the water. They are investigating...

(They also show some home videos.)

Reading of the Crown Princess thing...

I was flipping through the channels on tv one day, and something on the History Channel caught my attention. It was a documentary on modern day Pirates. It showed many infamous "gangs" and who they consisted of. It told of certain things that these crews would do. One in specific was a group of former Chinese military men that boarded a Chinese cruise ship. No one on the ship was harmed. They boarded the ship quickly and quielty and were only seen as they left the ship with a wealthy amount of supplies. This happened years ago, and again, it was off the coast of China, but it still spooked me! :scared1:

:badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

see next post. It said server was down then posted it twice? :confused3

BTW, I am not telling DBF about the Princess ship. He cannot swim :scared:

 I have a confession: I decided to NOT make my own. I have no confidence in my creativity so when dsineyshopping had "design-your-own" on sale for $9.99 and $7.99 I went for it.

My shirts are white with the Fab 5 in swimsuits. Design is called "Aloha Disney". Under the Design it says:

It's Time!
Cruisin' on the Disney Wonder
September 3, 2006

There will be five of us wearing them. Since I got white t-shirts, they committed to wearing them. Course DBF just wanted a plain Mickey shirt. I told him: no way!

Now watch, some adult in my group won't wear theirs!

Our news in Orlando reported the Princess incident and said that a passenger was airlifted to ORMC. That means it was BAD. ORMC (I work for them) is the only level 1 trauma center in Central Florida. Prayers and pixie dust to that poor girl, I might just end up treating her in rehab in a few weeks......

How scary would that be? I shudder to think. I'm amazed that no one fell off. I watched a documentary about a ship that sank about 10 years ago somewhere in Europe (I think?) and it was both terrifying and fascinating. Everything that could have gone wrong did, and then the passengers only found out the boat was sinking when they saw the lifeboats being launched full of the crew! Luckily everyone survived. They showed footage from the helicopter of the ship going under and it was.....WOW.

10 years ago while attending UCF (I graduated so it's not really U Can't Finish) I worked at the Orlando World Center Marriott. It's at the same exit as the main Disney Gate (I know you know this but for other's reading). While driving on I-4 to work, in the rain, a tourist decided "opps! I need that exit" and just pushed my car into the grassy area and my car slid about 200 yards into the trees that used to be in front of the Casting Center. I was critically injured and they sent me to Sandlake Hospital  Of course they couldn't help me because they couldn't figure out what was causing me to bleed to death internally. Due to the rain storm, I was unable to be airlifted to ORMC. I did get there via ambulance and the staff at ORMC saved my life. I spent a week in the hospital and they took very good care of me.

Not that I would wish going to ORMC Trauma Center for any reason. But if you have a critical injury in Central Florida, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else :thumbsup2

I just got myself to look at the princess thread about their incident. I just couldn't look the day it was posted. Any one know what a list means? I am not a sailor, just a passenger so, what exactly happens? The ship tilts trying to turn too fast? Any one know, Bill?

I was reading about that too. Did you read where it said that the deck that got hit the worst had blood splattered all over? How creepy?! :scared:

I don't know, but I hope it means an upgrade for me!! Although I doubt that since I have adjoining rooms.
Kerry - are you in a cat 10? Do you have adjoining or connecting? I have adjoining and am praying to get changed/upgraded to connecting.

Also Kerry - I read your story about your accident - wow! How scary - I'm glad they took such good care of you. ::yes::

Kerry,

I'm so glad that you made it through your accident okay. Even though it was ten years ago I'm sure there are still times you are reminded of it and are just thankful to be alive.

Oh, and I was laughin when I read your other post, good luck getting everyone in your party to wear their shirts. It sounds like they turned out great :thumbsup2 .

Kerry  What a hard time that must have been for you. I'm glad you got through it. What was causing the internal bleeding?

Just wanted to let Suzzanef know I finally went out and "whooped" it up.. but all earlier suspicions proved to be accurate.... and I had to go to Ohio for the "whooping"...
now I think I'll go to bed... good morning/night all!
