Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

You're planning on an inaugural, too?

AWESOME! It can be a reunion! :cool1:

We're going to look at houses tomorrow and I just drove by the one I'm most excited about. It's maybe 5 blocks from here CLOSER to the city park (nice area, nice park!) Cross your fingers for me! :goodvibes

I will most definitely keep my fingers crossed for you!!:goodvibes That sounds sooo exciting!!!:goodvibes

I feel like everything is completely pointless these days!:rotfl: But yikes...100 hours of community service?? That's a little extreme... And I thought having to do 60 to graduate high school was a bit much! But if it's for the education department...uhh...why can't it be in a school setting??:confused3 That sounds a bit odd...

I guess because we already have to do 20 hours of time in a school this semester. :rotfl:
It's supposed to teach us, I think, that an invested interest in the community is important-- meaning we need to spend time outside the school bettering the community, not just teaching the youth.
I guess.

I was all excited about my proposal too. Poop. :lmao:

I am excited! I'll let you guys know Thursday.
I was apprehensive about the area because I didn't know that was where it was before (and Tom is convinced I'll find something wrong with every house because it's not the one we made the offer on) but after driving by I'm liking it.
Got a yucky carport in the backyard, off an alley, that would need to go bye-bye. Why people let ugly things sit on their property amazes me! :headache: There is enough room in the driveway for two cars and it has a garage. Can't figure out why they have a carport at all.

That's what Rich said!!!!! The 12 night one really sounds great!!!!

This is the last post I've seen since yesterday (I think). How wonderful to see Patsy that you are expecting. How exciting! :hyper: Thanks Lisa for the head's up :thumbsup2

Ohh, hey Taeja! (Am I even spelling that right?) We don't see you around here very often.

Thanks! It is exciting.

Can you tell it's my day off today? I've been on here every other minute. I need to get a life.

All I want to do is pack and prepare to move and get settled but I think Tom might get a little angry at me... hehe.

Well, I think I'm going to start with packing up shorts and stuff. No need for them and I definitely won't be able to wear them at the start of next summer soooo.... I'll just pack in the suitcases so he won't realize for awhile. :rotfl:

Just try to stop by more often, I see you around the community board some! We miss ya!

Thanks so much, my first OB/GYN appt. is the 21st. I don't really know what all it entails but I'll keep you guys updated, if you want. :grouphug:

He's doing a lot better. He's excited to be a better father than his own.
He also had a dream in which his father came to him and apologized for everything. Oddly, he's felt a lot better ever since and there have been no more outbursts.

So you're up for the reunion , too?!

I wish! :guilty: I know, I try and stay away from the CB too :rotfl2: .it just sucks you in! Get the regular What to Expect when expecting and the Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy by Nancy Iovine (sp). Its hilarious! Then, there's the Jenny McCarthy prego book too. I've heard its funny too.

So glad Tom's feeling better about his dad and being a dad. There's so many second chances when you become a parent.

Aw. If we all make it, we'll take a picture of you like Vicki did with Tim.
That way you'll be there... sorta.. ?:confused3

and yeah.. the CB sucks you in. I end up there a lot anymore because it's the one that moves the fastest so always something new to read.

I'd love to come! I just have to get dh warmed up to the idea. Alas yes, if I can't a flat me would suffice. :thumbsup2 .

I liked the whole What to expect series! Very good books!!

I loved those books, too!! Patsy, you know if you ever have any questions, problems, or just want update us, we're all here and happy to listen! It's so exciting!!!! :grouphug:

Hehe. Well I ordered some books the day I found out (I am SUCH a bookworm and my office is super slow so I can read there)

I got: http://www.amazon.com/Pregnancy-Book-Month-Month-Everything/dp/0316779148/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1223578455&sr=1-1 and http://www.amazon.com/Pregnancy-Journal-Day-Day-Healthy/dp/0811846970/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1223578427&sr=8-1

I started a thread on the CB asking what books people read and a few people mentioned that the popular ones will come as gifts (What to Expect when you're Expecting especially) and so I chose some different ones that I think are suited towards me. (I really like the idea of the journal, they both arrived today and so far I dig it!)

I really like to read so if I don't gifted those others I will probably pick them up for Christmas break or check out the library.

I can share, this is my first (duh!) and so I'm sure I'll be bursting to talk to someone about everything that is going on.

I want to sit and read so bad but I need to get going- errands to run (ick, bills!) and then gotta grab the hubby and go look at some houses! :)

My mom just asked me if I could afford paying for the Transatlantic in a year and a half.:crazy2: I told her I'd MUCH RATHER her save up money to take all of us on BOTH the inaugural cruises but she didn't seem to take to the idea of my PARENTS paying. Well ok...how about they just pay for me...the baby!:lmao:
So apparently I should be saving my money?:confused3 Darn I was looking forward to being able to buy stuff when I graduated and got a real job!:rotfl: (With the car payments and insurance payments for my car I have to budget myself and so far it's more of a hassle than I signed up for!:p I mean, I usually don't buy a lot of things but it's usually nice to know I can!:rotfl: )

Geesh, I wish my parents would take me on ONE cruise. My parents can afford to take me on whatever vacation but promptly stopped my sophomore year of high school because I could drive and thus, stay at home alone.
Screwballs. :rotfl:
(I should mention growing up we vacationed maybe once every 2-3 years and after I started driving they began vacationing 2-3 times every year... :headache: )

It's amazing, isn't it? How things are never really exactly the amount you planned them out to be. Talk about a reality check. We just looked at a few houses and the realtor took us to a house about 10k more than we wanted to spend that would give us a TON more space, a garage, fenced yard, etc. It was pretty awesome but would need a bit more work than (with baby) I think we'd have the time to put in it.
Realtor kept pushing us on how amazing it was, how it was going to be snatched up. I just don't feel like we should ask the mortgage company for more money (we got what we asked for, which is what we're comfortable spending!) for a house with space we don't need.

We ended up picking one 4k below our comfort zone and after my dad takes a look, we'll snatch it up. By picking I mean we both agreed it was our best option.
I'm crossing my fingers that it all works out!
It's actually 4k cheaper than the one by the park I was talking about earlier and it's literally JUST around the corner from it, though without a garage and minus about 300 sq. ft.
