Will the wonder get a make over like the magic?

Considering a wonder cruise for April 2015. Just wondering what to expect.

Thanks!

Eventually she will. Most likely DCL is waiting on the canal lock expansion to be completed. That should be sometime this year if they haven't fallen back behind and settles the lawsuit. Her next Drydock is sometime in 2016, no later then Jan of 17.

I don't know anything about pouring concrete and how long it takes to cure .. but I don't think the new locks will be done before 2016. Here are the new Pacific side locks as of May 2013. I see a great absence of walls ::yes::

The last official report I saw said they were 6 months behind but making up time and should barring any unforseen issues be ready on time. That was late last year. Since then I know there was 2 lawsuits filed between the contractors and the canal commission. Haven't heard of any new days but haven't looked recently.

I'm not sure how definitive this source is, but the CDC inspection of the Wonder in February 2014 seems to indicate we can expect "the ship's renovation in September/October 2016." Look about 2/3 down the list at one of the multiple items labeled "Item No.: 33".

How did you find that? Great first post, BTW.

Sept/Oct sounds like a logical time because it's after the summer in Alaska season.

It simply amazes me what people can find. Thank you so much for the info.

Hoping I get to sail her in 2015/2016 before the dry dock. :thumbsup2

Scott just saw that too! He checks the CDC often. I'm sure DCL will love that that info got out lol......

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

And unlike most of the ports something tells me the CDC won't be pulling it down :-)

That was really interesting. I noticed the Dream has scored 100 on every inspection, and the Fantasy did the same until the last report.
