Now that July 31 passed, has Disney started assigning staterooms to the GTY, OGT & VGT passengers?

We are/were GTY; our rooms were assigned about 2 weeks ago. We have 2 rooms linked, category 9B; we were given rooms on opposite sides of ship. Not horrible but not ideal. When we called to get them closer together, we were told there was nothing they could do at this time but to check back every couple weeks so I guess that's what I'll do

I emailed the company and let her know that many from this cruise were booking with them, and would we be together - here is Lucy's reply:

Yes, you will be together as a group. You will be in our 25 seater touring minibus. Any number over 25 will be in our 14 seater and/or 6 seater touring vans. You will be stopping at each location in the same order and will see each other at each location.



This tour offers a little more than the DCL tour -which is priced a few dollars less ( $66pp I think)

It includes:



Hilo Cruise Ship Port pickup and drop off

Queen Liliuokalani Gardens

Black Sand Beach

Rainbow Falls

Hawaii Volcano National Park

Jaggar Museum

Halemaumau Crater Overlook

1982 Lavaflow

Thurston Lavatube

Akatsuka Orchid Gardens

Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory

You need to go to the the excursion website and sign up. Bold above. First you'll get confrimation that it is available, then you pay the deposit. If you are on facebook, after you paid your deposit add your name to the list. If you're not on facebook, post here and list your names and I'll add you.

I'll let you know what DCL says, at this point I think it is about $20 per person for the tasting. I am thinking of the wednesday or thurdays before Hawaii..

Just one FE. There is an option to do ALL or sign up for 1 or 2 or ALL 3 groups.

There are about 70 cabins participating in the FE. Since there are so many they decided to divide them into 3 groups of approx. 25 cabins each. If you want to sign up for a small group you can ask to participate in only one of the groups. If you want to do more, then you can sign up for 2 or all 3 groups. The cut off date to sign up for FE is Sept 1. Just post here if you want and someone will update the list on FB.

You can do all cabins.
But there were some who want a smaller group.
If you want all cabins your name will be in all groups. At least that's what I understand on FB.
The list is not split yet and the final date is sept. 1.

DCL replied to my email and they said
"
There is a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 50 for a private tasting. The cost is $20 per person. I will need a list with names and room numbers of those attending. Once the list has been sent to the ship If they chose not to come they will still be charged. The charges will go on to everyone’s room account.
I will need to contact the ship to see if there will be a venue available. What time and date were you thinking of?
They will not give me confirmation until about 2 weeks prior to the cruise or sometimes less.
I will contact you again in September. We will see where you are at that time with your numbers get all the details and will
work with the ship to set this up for you."

So please send me a pm or sign up on FB with room, names, and ressie number.
If you WILL NOT be drinking, please just give me your names and you will be included in the picture, and the chatting but not the tasting.
