Disney Wonder Nov 27, 2011

Had a dream about FE gifts last night. I need to deliver the 1st night so they can be used on the cruise. The first day will be super busy.

Just wanted all FE group to know I am sailing with gown daughter and her son, who is celebrating his 4 th birthday. His age was not listed. Thank you for all the work it takes to organize this! :worship:
DesignerDestinations

I wanted to clarify as well that I am traveling with my grown daughter and a friend of ours (she use to be SIL but still think of her as family):grouphug:

Thank you cast member02 for all your hard work. It cannot be easy trying to track everyone down and get all the information.

I went to bed at 1:00 having so much fun making the FE and then was up at 7 to finish some more. I have so many ideas that I am heading back out to Joann's again today.

Okay- I have looked around and have found no 1 answer. Sorry if this is not the appropriate place to ask. I made/bought about 3 different gifts per person in each cabin. In general how does dropping them off work? I am assuming spread them out and drop them off 3 different times but is there enough time on the cruise for this? Sorry this is my first time and I want to make sure I do it correctly.

Last question (well maybe)- on the FE list I notice that my name is listed but DW is not listed (which is me). So is the name at the beginning another person or did DW just get left off mine? There is no way my DH would take the boys on this cruise by himself. :rotfl2: As he reminded me last night- this cruise is for me not the kids. I disagreed (but just a little bit).

LOL - Oh I totally think this cruise is definately for your kids too - but I know what you mean. I am sooooo looking forward to a week off work and some R&R with the family. I am sure both your boys are at the perfect age to just be amazed by it all. The Disney cruise will be so fun for them! I have two boys that are 5 and 6 and they have been going crazy with anticipation. Less than two weeks now! Yay!

Hi TLWM! Glad you checked in and I am looking forward too meeting you too. If you want to get in on the Fish Extender (FE) gift exchange, I have a small second group that I am trying to sort out this week. There are only four of us and our families, but if you get back to me soon I can add you. Let me know via email: c4sailor@yahoo.com

Can't Work, Can't think. Already on the ship. I just want to be home packing.

Me too! I am sitting at work typing out my plans for Day 1 arrival. They say the first day can get a bit hectic due to getting bags to the room, room not always ready, safety drill at like 4 or 4:30...etc.

Can someone confirm two things for me about the Day 1 arrivals? What is the exact time of the safety drill and do they still have the Sea Food buffet at Parrot Cay until 3pm (lunch upon arrival)? That would be perfect because the place we are meeting up (Promenade Lounge) is right next door....

Also, if we have a scheduled arrival of 1:30, does that mean we should come earlier because that is the time they want us to actually get on the ship?

I found all my paperwork and information from the first cruise we took on the Wonder back in April '08. It was fun to read up on everything and get familiar again, but I am sure things have changed. Especially since that was a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas and this time we are going for a whole week out of Los Angeles (OMG - I can't wait).

Looking forward to our meet-up at 3pm, but I am going to get there earlier so I can make it to the Spa drawing at 3:15.... anyone else planning to get there a bit early too? I will put a folded sign on our table that says "c4sailor Disboards" in case you want to look for me!

It is almost time, less than 2 weeks!

My suggestion is eat as soon as you get on board. Then tour the spa. We will all meet at 3, go to the spas drawing at 3:15, meet again to do the cabin crawl??, then the drill at 4. Right after the drill is the sail away party, then early dinner at 5:45. :scared1:. Crazy 1st day.

Most of the time you can get into the room at 1pm. And luggage begins to arrive about 1pm. In March, I had all my luggage by 2pm.

Maybe we could do the cabin crawl on Day 2? I like the idea of splitting it up into two groups though.... I can't believe I totally forgot about the sail away party while writing up my "plan". Isn't the party after 6pm when the ship leaves? We have the early dinner rotation too, so I am now just trying to figure out a solid plan for Day 1...:surfweb:

There are only 6 rooms for the cabin crawl.I broke it down by type of stateroom and location to make it super simple. I think we can do it in 20 min. It would be nice to do it before all the rooms are used.

The sail away party is right after the drill and before the 1st dinner.

Can You Post the Cabin Crawl list and everyone please give us feedback for this event :) Thank Again denise!

I agree, best to see the rooms while they are still in order...so my vote would be to squeeze this into Day 1. I hope I am on the Cabin Crawl list, we are in stateroom #6538 (with a verandah). Thanks!!

Okay, so here is our jam packed "schedule" for Day 1. I am sure that things will change, but at least I am having fun thinking about a plan and daydream about it for awhile before I have to get back to the big pile of work on my desk. LOL. ;)

- Arrive and park the car by 12 or 12:30pm

- Board the ship by 2 or 2:30pm (hope they let us on closer to 1:30, 2pm at the latest)
