Disney Wonder Mexican Riviera - December 4th 2011

DO we know what the dining schedule is for our cruise? What night is formal and pirate night?

As far as I can tell every recent trip report has been the same:

Sunday (LA): Cruise Casual
Monday (at sea): Formal (Golden Mickeys Dinner)
Tuesday (at sea): Cruise Casual
Wednesday (PV): Cruise Casual
Thursday (Cabo): Pirate or Cruise Casual (Pirates in the Caribbean Dinner)
Friday (Cabo): Semi-formal (Captain's Gala Dinner)
Saturday (at sea): Cruise Casual (Till We Meet Again Dinner)

That's what I got from DCL for ours so I think we can plan on it.

Also, here is the list of movies that should be showing on our cruise. This from a very reliable source.

• Toy Story 3 (3D)
• Tangled (3D)
• Gnomeo & Juliet (3D)
• I Am Number Four
• African Cats
• Prom
• Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2D & 3D)
• Cars 2 (2D & 3D)
• Winnie the Pooh
• The Help
• Fright Night (2D & 3D)
• Real Steel
• The Muppets Prem-Ear 11/23

I still have not heard any info on the entertainment though. Anyone know????

It's getting closer! Next weekend I'll start getting things ready to pack.

I have been reading about the "Fish Extenders" and they sound like a lot of fun. We will be on the Wonder Dec. 4-11. We have three girls, Ages 6, 4 (actually turning 4 on Dec. 7) and almost 2. What do we do now?

Also, what are meet-ups?

Thanks!
Shannon

I wrote the quoted message. As I have been looking around online, are we too late to do the fish extender thing? This is our first cruise, I fear I'm a little behind in our planning!

Your daughter shares her bday with me! Dec 7! I only know 2 other people with the same birthday! Someone with more knowledge on the FE's can explain them. We have two girls 3 and 5 sailing.

I added you to the FE list. Being this late in the game, i cannot promise a lot of gifts as many people purchased items based on previous numbers. We are glad to have you join us on the cruise!

Do I add our state room number to the list? And what is the roll call for, do I need to put our name on that? I'm sorry for so many questions!

Are you doing gifts for each child and adult, or the family as a whole? Is it one per trip, or per day?

Our kids do not know about the cruise, so I'll bring a couple of extra things to put in their fish extenders, in case we are too late. Thanks!

Welcome Aboard!!! We’re happy to have your family join in. As Sarah stated it might be too late for some people to include your room because of quantity, but others, I’m sure, will be happy to. That’s a great idea for you to bring a little extra treats for your children just in case.

On page 3 of this thread ‘Yazlow’ posted info on FEs. That’s a good reference.

If you have time to make a Fish Extender just google them or do a search on Etsy or ebay and you will see examples. There is a lady on Etsy that did one for me and mailed it in three days. She also had one already made, so I was able to get those for my friends who are on this trip for the first time.

Please make sure that you send Sarah ‘hamm1207’ your information. After her signature in her post is a link to the FE list and the roll call spreadsheets.

I am happy to add you to my FE list, but please send me or post the first names of each person travelling with you.

It’s getting closer!

Hi Judy and Sarah,
Thank you both for helping me out with this. I totally understand that we are pretty late in joining this. We are in stateroom #8576.
Don (dad), Shannon (me/mom), Sidney (F) age 6, Charlotte (F) turning 4 on the cruise on Dec. 7, and Josephine (F) age 2.
We are at the main dining time.

I will check out Yazlow's post for FE information. Is it up to me if we give gifts to everyone, kids or as a family, or is that decided by the group?

We are so excited for this cruise, it is our first Disney anything and our very first cruise.

Thank you!
Shannon

p.s. I tried to PM this to you, but I am too new to the forum to have that ability!

Welcome, shannon! It is up to you if you want to give a cabin gift, individual gift, etc. everyone does what they want/can afford, etc. it's so much fun just to participate!

Shannon, you need to get to ten posts. Just say hi to people and you will get there quickly. We all had to do that in the beginning!

Thanks for the info.

Judy

Hi Shannon,
We are happy to add you to our FE list. The more the merrier. Welcome aboard!

Hi Shannon,

As I was late getting on the FE list too, I understand and am more than happy to add you to our FE list. Our girls are almost two as well, so if you are interested in getting together for a splash park meet or anything we would love to get together too.

Melanie

Seems like we have a lot of toddlers...Maybe we all can have a playdate? DS is 2, and I know for sure we will be right by the stage at the sail away party...he loves to dance!

How formal is "formal"? Is this the regular dinner or is this a separate show?
Thanks! (I'm a first-timer!)

Shannon

cryssi: A playdate would be fun! Our older kids will (hopefully) be in the activities, but we only have a few hours of daycare scheduled for our youngest.

Thanks!

Formal is as formal as you want it to be. Sequins or cotton! It is in your rotational dining room and the crew is in their 'dress whites'.

I have seen people come to dinner fairly casual and were not turned away. However, it is fun to get all dressed up.

Their is a Captains reception before dinner in the foyer with a photo op with the Captain, Mickey and Minnie as well as a family photo and maybe some with other characters.

Keep asking the questions, not much time left and packing to do!

Happy Thanksgiving!

May your day be filled with family and friends and thankfulness for what we have. AND lots and lots of anticipation about the cruise! It's almost here!
