Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

Hello all,

This is my first post, so I hope it goes well.

Lissame...

My family and I would be interested in joining your group for whale watching. 2 adults and 2 kids ages 5 and 3.

I have not told my kids about this trip at all, it is going to be a huge surprise. First Disneyland, then the cruise. I get on here to read most days, but since this is our first cruise, I have not felt the need to post anything yet. Okay, honestly it is harder than anything for me to come up with a username that doesn't give away too much info, so it is easier to just follow along and not participate. In this case, I would love for my kids to see a whale, so I had to join and come up with something. (We have elk in our yard this morning) Let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks

Welcome! Will you be joining us for the kids meet on the first day? Look forward to meeting you all. :yay::yay:

Are your kids boys or girls? I am sailing with my 5 year old son, and 3 year old grandson...:woohoo:

Hi all,

Is anyone staying at the Doubletree San Pedro on March 19? I have 2 rooms booked there under the Magical Cruise package, which includes a shuttle to the port in the morning.....

I was wondering if anyone on here would be sharing that shuttle with us??:thumbsup2

We are! I am hoping for a 10 am shuttle.

I've booked at Holiday Inn in Long Beach but have been reading that the hotel is not in a good neighborhood. I plan on changing to the Doubletree in San Pedro. We'll be doing the Fly and Sail package arriving Saturday. It includes a shuttle from Long Beach airport so that will work for us.

We'll see you on the shuttle to the cruise ship Sunday morning. It's 47 more days....can't wait. :dance3:

We will be on that shuttle. We didn't get the package though, as we will not have a car there and the AAA price was a bit less then. Need to book a return to LAX from the port though.

We are also staying at the Doubletree. I need to contact them as we bought the internet prepay room rate. I need to find out if they need know we need the shuttle in the morning.
Still working on the transportation LAX to Doubletree and then the port to LAX.

I just booked the "Fly and Cruise" rate at the San Pedro Doubletree. There are 3 of us and for $250 plus tax we're getting one nights stay, shuttle service to and from Long Beach airport (but it's also good for LAX), two breakfasts and two drinks and shuttle to the cruise ship. Such a deal.

Just wanted to throw this offer out here one last time:

I'm working on booking a snorkel/sightseeing/sailing excursion privately through www.cabosails.com. It is a 3 hour excursion, you can check out the website for more details. It would be for our first day in Cabo, March 24, and would start at either 12 or 1:15. (We are there until 7 that day):yay::yay:

We have room on our boat for one more family of 3-5 people. The cost is approximately $67 per person and includes snorkel gear, food, and drinks (open bar+soft drinks).

Send me a PM if you are interested, I'd like to get this booked this week.

My husband gets carsick and seasick. Oh and don't forget airsick. He always goes to the dr before a cruise or flight and gets the seasickness patch. Talk to your daughter's dr and see what they recommend. I would definately have something with you in case she gets sick.

We have been using the patchs for the last 8 cruises and they are fab. We cut one in half and then half again. Put one quarter behind each ear the morning of the cruise when you get up. These will work for about 5 days then you can put the other two quarters on Friday when we wake up in Cabo 2nd day. When we leave Cabo Friday it will be our last formal night and the waters tend to be rough since we will be going against the current. No real bad but for those who tend to get siA quck they will notice it big time. The patches have worked for us when we had waves reach 17 feet and very windy.

Hello. I'm joining this forum and thread late in the game, but I'm thrilled to have found it. I will be on the cruise with my daughter Ruby, who turns 10 at sea on 21 March 2011. We'll try to make it to the kids' meet on Day 1.

We're from Nanaimo on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Any other Islanders going?

Charlene :goodvibes

PS: The patch -never touch your face after handling the patch, before washing your hands. The active ingredient in the patch can cause your pupil to dilate for hours, causing blurred vision....:cool2:

The shuttle runs all day to the ship. Just let them know when you check in. It is first come first serve.

Anyone hear of any trip reports from those off the first cruise this week? I would love some insight into how things went.

jaurban and catwoman25, if you are interested in sharing a zippy shuttle with my family from port back to LAX, send me a PM. We can hold up to 5 more people. I can get you a quote.

Welcome Charlene, what a great present for your daughter to have her birthday on a Disney cruise.

Welcome and I hope you can both make it to the kids meet :thumbsup2.

The snow and ice today is making me ready for the warmth of the cruise, but I'm glad that I'm not trying to fly out this week with our bad weather. I will be going nuts if the weather delays us. At least we have a couple days to play with before the cruise, but that will take up our Disneyland days.

I need to stop reading the Homemade FE gift thread. I keep getting more ideas and I have enough already!

I expect school to be closed tomorrow as well. Probably Wednesday too if we get all they say we will, plus the winds.

I just need them to get the roads plowed before Wednesday night because we have ticket for Mary Poppins. The Broadway tour is in town and I've had tickets since this summer.
