Hi Mamakate! We have not even discussed any tours yet. This will be our 15 cruise on this route, plus we fly and drive to Mexico a few times a year. We are a group of friends and family of 32 that will be going on this cruise and we are going to all meet the first of the year to discuss any tours that everyone would like to take. Since my DH and I have been on most of them they are using us sounding board. As of late we have taken cooking tours on our last three cruises and that was loads of fun. But we were not traveling with kids so that will be out this time. Depending on what you would like to do and the of course the age of your children will help you decide which to take. On several of your cruises there was beach party tour in PV that took you to neighboring town called Puerto Nuevo and from their we went to the Paradiase Village Resort for a half a day and that was a lot of fun. They have beautiful pool with a iquana water slide, a big spa and of course the beach. There is also a small zoo at the resort. My daughter is hoping this will be one of the tours as she loves it there.
The best tour I have ever taken in PV is the Las Caletas tour on which you board a big boat and it takes you across Banderas Bay to John Houston (Director of several John Wayne movies, as well as Richard Burton and Liz Taylor) to his hide-away resort that you can only reach by boat. They give muffins, juice and coffee on the way over, a fantastic buffet lunch, ribs and chicken etc. The drinks are free and you can play on the beach, hike, get a massage, boogie board etc. This is an all day excursion and that is the only thing you can do before boarding the ship. We loved it and will be one of the excursion we are recommending to our group.
Its time to go to work and I will write more this evening.
