We are first time cruising aboard the Disney Wonder April 13th-16th 2017.

I've been looking all over for an answer to my question but just can't see to find the exact info I'm looking for.

I was wondering about the onboard live entertainment and how ticketing/seating is handled. Do we have to get tickets? If so, how do I go about getting them (ahead of time or onboard)? Or, is it fist come first serve for things like the movie or broadway-type shows.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!! I'm a pro at our Disney World planning but finding all this cruise business a bit overwhelming. Thanks!

All the shows onboard, whether the broadway-style show in the Walt Disney Theater, movies in the Buena Vista Theater, or individual entertainers in the lounges are included in the cruise fare. No tickets, just show up and take a seat.

For the shows.... just show up. Get there early to secure the best ones.

The character breakfast requires tickets. Specialty dining needs reservations.

For the evening shows in the theater they have 2 showtimes. It is timed so that the people with main dining will generally go to the 2nd show and people with late dining will go to the 1st show. You don't 'technically' have an assigned time, but it works out best if most people stick with that schedule so that there are enough seats for everyone.

Good to know, thanks for the info!!

I will say that, at least in our experience, when we had main (early) seating, the second show was much busier than the first show (when we had late dining) and we had to arrive MUCH earlier to secure good seats (or seats all together for that matter). Our two cruises where we had late dining and attended the first show, we could roll in 10 minutes before show time and have great seats.

and for the new Frozen Show, if it is on a sea day, then they will have 3 shows (one in the afternoon) because it's Frozen after all.

And now I hop upon my soapbox :firefight
Disney is becoming all about: Frozen, Star Wars and Marvel (and I do LOVE all Three, but not exclusively!!)
Off of the Soapbox:thanks:

Just wanted to add on our recent cruise the afternoon frozen show was CRAZY. The line for the theater was all the way down the hall to the midship elevators and then went out onto the decks. BUT we went to the late show and showed up 15 mi utes early and sat in the 5th row.

You will also want tickets for princess gathering and meet and greet with Anna and Elsa. Its so much easier to me planning for the cruise than the parks. So much more relaxing to me and the food is wow. Hope you enjoy your cruise.
