I went to home depot and simply bought a door and a roll of duct tape. That way, I can decorate it any way I wanna. It was hard to stuff in my carry on, but as I long as I make the wife carry it, I should be fine.

Other suggestion: magnetic clothing. I can decorate the door myself with myself.

I think a fun way to decorate the door would be to exactly mimic the door across the hall, only in reverse.

I got magnet paper and made printouts that look like deadbolt locks, just to freak out the maid service.

I can keep this up all day you know!

I think a better idea would be to take a picture of the cabin from the threshold, print it on a door size sheet and attach it to the door to make people think the door is open.

I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow!!!!! Yay! Just me and the wife. I almost feel guilty. Almost. Then back to SD Fri and up to San Pedro on Sat. Apparently, I don't own a map.

Hello everyone! I have been posting threads on cruise critic for a few months and thought " geez what a ghost town" not very much feedback with all my excitement. I can't believe I just now found this site! I'm elated to know how many if you are keeping in touch and posting threads! Yay!

Well I'm interested in joining the fish extender? Not sure how to go about joining, there's so many threads I couldn't read them all .


I'm not sure how many have already finished their FE stuss, but perhaps some have an extra one they are willing to share :0

Please post your cabin #, as i have just recounted and have 25 great FE's i am sharing and only 24 on my list! so i would be THRILLED to swap with you!

I think that will be your best idea.. just plan on anyone who has extra to share, perhaps not everyone is able because it is only a few days until we sail, but you never know!

What happened in Maz ? Anyone have a link to share ? Thats freakey ! I might be backing out of the riding I have to think about it tonight - I had a horse get sick and have spent 700$ in the past 2 weeks on him (today topped it off we were only at 300 ) So looking at prices and thinking it over since I ride a lot its really not a bif one to skip but I want to go with all my coolio friends from the boards so its a tough decision !
HOLY SHNIKEYS I better get on my FE stuff tonight - I was up till 3 AM making magnets lastnight and STILL not done - AHHHhhhh the things we do to prepare for our cruise !

Sorry to be M.I.A. I'm about 6 or 7 pages behind with no time to read them, so instead I did a CTRL "F" on each page to see if my name was mentioned.

So - we see now what happens when I shut up and I allow Ryan to speak (just kidding). Thanks to Ryan for doing the facebook thing, but I am not accepting the invite. No time and too close to the sailing for me. I did see something on there about Cabo at 1:00 to which I have to say no - Ryan, that's way too late. I think Cabo is the port we leave at 3:00 or 3:30 - to not even meet in a lounge on board until 1:00 is insane! Just my 2 cents - anyone else have thoughts on this?

Steve, Ryan, and Kris - you men are going to be the death of me, aren't you?! I see Ryan wasn't joking when he told me that he encouraged people to call our wave phone and play/sing songs from the Toy Story Musical. I would insert rofl emoticon here, but I've decided that it's not very funny! OK, maybe it is a little funny, but I beg of you - my entire "so-called" vacation is going to be nothing but homework and reading as it is, so to not have the frustration of those stupid songs in my head would be wonderful

Cari: At this point I would say don't worry about it. You can send me a check or we can call it the FE for Denver and Hamlet as I've forgotten to get them something in the madness of everything else! Sorry, time and everything just got away with me. Ryan didn't even make/get/consider what we were doing for FEs until LAST WEEKEND! By the way to everyone - I apologize in advance if our FEs are bad, we're not very crafty people!

Something funny though, a professor today decided to give us a lecture in the "obstacles to learning" in which he listed things you should not do that will hinder your learning process. He said, "don't be one of those people who works full time, has a family, and loads themselves with 21 units a semester." If I could curse on disboards I would tell you that I thought to myself, "Is he expletive-ing me?" I just kind of chuckled and smiled to myself and when I did I think he realized that I am one of those people because he made contact for a good 15 seconds and just smiled back. Woops. The first day of class and I already broke "rule 1."

we "may" be on the pirate boat, it depends now on mazatlan and their issues (tourist caught in cross-fire, was killed this a.m.). IF we do not do the plans in mazatlan, then I can spend more money in PV and do the pirate boat. Will make decision after Sunday, I guess.

Has anyone with more math sense than me figured out why the two FE lists are different yet?

I read that he was shot in the leg and will be ok, we are still getting off the boat in Mazatlan. The same thing could happen here in DC or Baltimore.

She is right...not killed, shot in the leg. Wrong place, wrong time. My concern is how many incidents not involving canadian tourists don't make the paper. Not decided yet as to El Cid or no..(and actually, I really want to go on the pirate boat in PV..budget concerns as well).

well, I think we are going to hit the patio bar at cabo right after our whale watching trip..so prob 11:30...grab some appetizers and be smilingly (translation: tipsily) waving y'all in.....I saw tequila shrimp on the menu....

Reason why we try and pick a place to eat dinner is that sometimes we get so busy doing this and that around the park we put off eating and Alec is too wiped out and cranky. And we stand there trying to figure out why?
Last time we were there we had a good dinner at Cafe Orleans but the wait was waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy to long. If we didn't have such wonderful conversations with another couple (Jessica & Ryan) we would have probably not even eaten!
We are actually thinking about risking the new menu over in Fantasyland by Pinocchio. Can't remember the name but they remodeled and changed the menu. So far I have heard only good things.
If any of you will be in the park, let me know by Friday morning and I will exchange cell #'s with you.

Depending on how much you have to drink, you should be fine. I don't usually like to play it to close to the last tender, but Cabo Wabo and the tender pier are in very close proximity to one another and if it take you more than 10 minutes to get from one to the other you've probably had way too much to drink and Sammy should be springing for a cab.

Cabo is the only port where you can actually just go out and walk to everything. In PV and Mazatlan, you pretty much need to take a taxi everywhere. The exception in PV being Sam's Club, Walmart, a mall, and a few nearby hotels/resorts. Mazatlan is an industrial/commercial port, so there is really no other alternative.

For those who might be concerned about Mazatlan, I would at least encourage you to get off the ship and see what they have in the port building. Not only is there a bar, I believe there's an affordable internet cafe and some shops and you don't need to leave the port to experience any of this.

I saw the shrimp too.
I think the time was because some people weren't going to be done with their excursions. For us, we are going to be just doing our own thing. Nothing scheduled except to end at Cabo Wabo. I don't know the lay out of the place but if there is a patio area, that sounds the best place to plant ourselves. Who ever gets there first just make sure there are tables and chairs around to drag over to make one big table! If we all make it there it should be a site.

If you are seeking a good time at Toy Story the Musical I suggest more than a few.

I think she would love that. With the wave phones she will be able to receive Toy Story the Musical calls everywhere which I know she is looking forward to. Not that I am encouraging such behavior.

I love it! You're on a roll. We'll have to stop referring to her by name when we discuss our evil plans. That way she can't search and see what we are up to. Maybe we'll have to refer to her on the boards as Bo Peep or Jessie. If we do see her huddled over sobbing, just tell people she is still heartbroken over Andy going off to college.

OK Need some help here - I REALLY need a map so STEVE didnt you offer to print some ? I wont have time before the cruise to get out to kinkos and print them so if I could get you to bring one to the meet on the 23rd I would SOOOOOOOoooooo appreciate it just let me know !

Hi Cari, I printed 23 copies. They are already outdated and probably full of errors but I'll bring them anyway and you are definitely welcome to one. You can keep any extras if you need something to line Denver's porta-pool.

Don't I know my friend. Great form tonight. Truly outstanding. Excellent material and you nailed the delivery. Maybe I'm just in a judging mood since I just sat through two hours of American Idol. Either way, congratulations...you're going to Mazatlan!

You know what I am tempted to do though is put my "Do Not Disturb" sign on my neighbor's door when they step out and then watch their looks of confusion when they come back.

I also like the idea of taking a small section of one deck and moving all the magnets one door down. I don't know what it is but to me there is nothing funnier than being woken up by yelling coming from some belligerent sunburned drunk in a tropical shirt and Mickey ears going off on his neighbor for stealing his pieces of flare. It's better than watching Cops I tell ya.

Have a great time at D-land everyone who is going. Try hard to resist dropping $4 on a Mickey Ice Cream bar. Just remember they will be free to us on the Mickey boat!

Sue - I love your idea about stopping by and signing. I'll definitely do that.

Ryan - About Cabo Wabo, we can go a little earlier. Hopefully our excursion has us back by noon. It's through Disney so they should keep on time.

I guess we're gonna try to get to the port early (10:00??) and see how long it takes before someone calls me "sir" without adding "you're making a scene." I'll be wearing a black Mickey in Paradise shirt and shlepping around one wife and two kids who are pre-embarassed by my behavior. I think I'm already in a pre-emptive time out!

Is it wrong to have a suitcase packed into another suitcase just in case I forgot to pack something I won't remember until after I've forgotten to pack it?
