Re: Cabo Wabo - I think the plan was for everyone to be there around 1:00 since the shore excursions all end at different times. For thos eof us staying on the ship that morning we just need to decide what time we want to head over there.

Re: operation Toy Story Mental Mania. Don't let Jessic@ (ha! Can't search for that) fool you. She is really looking forward to the toy story phone calls. I suggest finding her favorite song (divinchi of destruction or some such nonense) and loading it onto you ipod for her enjoyment.

What an awful week. After the nonsense I dealt with yesterday (and I wll be dealing with again today) I have earned a vacation. I think I would rather be dodging bullets in mexico then spend another day driving 6 hours round trip for a meeting in LA.

I'm using my phone this morning so hopefully there aren't too many spelling errors.

What a great bunch of people, I'm laughing just reading the posts, I'm even more excited to get on the boat now :-), I think Steve and my husband Corey will get along just fine ( he's a riot )! Well I guess I'll get back to my last two days of work. Can't wait till tomorrow evening, were staying at the double tree by the port, finished all my FE...Yay! If I have a rough day at work disciplining kids today I'll make sure I log on to this blog for a good laugh :-).

Agree -- this is the port where we have to get on tenders for the transfer. The first ones will leave as quickly as people board, but later on they might not be as quick, and the whole process takes awhile. The ship leaves at 3:30 so I would suggest being in line to board the tender no later than 3:00. (I'd prefer 2:30 since I worry about these things. :scared1:) I'd alllow 1/2 hour to walk back to where you board the tenders from Cabo Wabo. (You must be a fast walker to do it in 10 minutes Kris!) My hubby says 20 minutes, so let's split the difference... So it would be better if we could start the Cabo Wabo fest around noon. I know people are getting back from activities at 12:30 or so but they could join in then...

Someone asked about the bar. It's outdoors and rather small. The big nightclub area isn't used in the daytime. I've got some pictures from when we were there last May that I'll try to post so everyone can get the layout.

Cheers,
Cheryl

You may be right about 1:00 being too late for Cabo Wabo. I dunno since I've never been on a ship before or to Cabo or south of National City. But the thought of walking home from Baja California sucks. Can we make it earlier? I'm thinking of not doing a guided shore excursion that day since its a short one but instead just wandering around Cabo looking for Canadians to mug.

What does everybody think?

Hi all
Did we ever decide on a day and time for brunch ? I want to make sure we have it set before some of us sail bec some will not make the meet and greet -
Also Cabo Wabo - What is the time there again we might want to decide so everyone knows who might not make it to the meet n greet !

Im really getting excited !!! It is Amber Rick and the kids first Disney cruise along with Ashley and Aarons and it is Wendis FIRST EVER cruise and shes a foodie !popcorn:: She says to me LOL " What day is the buffet open and when do we get to go " :rotfl2: I said EVERYDAY AND ANYTIME just about ! She got SO excited ! Then she found out you can order whatever you want and however much you want and she didnt believe me LOL It took convincing from Ash and Aaron and I but we have her all straight now :dance3: Shes excited to EAT !
Happy Thursday everyone ! See you in a few  's

Cheryl Amber told me she herd last tender back was at 230 dont know if thats true or not but thats what she herd -
Can I meet you on the ship then ( Sue you too ) and head over with you ? Amber and her family might join us too but she has a dog and has been there too so if she dosent make the meet time on the ship they will just meet us there - I dont think Im brave enough to risk my precious Denver being off the ship in Mexico no laws to protect us and I just want to enjoy my time ! So what do you say ? Wanna meet onboard ? If so what time ? If you go off the ship earlier Im good with meeting you at the spot where the tender will be dropping us if thats easier - Just let me know !

Hello everyone! I have been posting threads on cruise critic for a few months and thought " geez what a ghost town" not very much feedback with all my excitement. I can't believe I just now found this site! I'm elated to know how many if you are keeping in touch and posting threads! Yay!

Well I'm interested in joining the fish extender? Not sure how to go about joining, there's so many threads I couldn't read them all :-).

I will be joining this cruise with my husband (30), my daughter (7), my son (11), and myself (30). A little bit about us:

We live in Central California and have cruised through Disney before ( Bahamas, 2006). I'm pretty familiar with most of the great things Disney has to offer ( also read the Disney cruise travel books and logged on to the website initiated by all you wonderful people). I must admit I feel guilty for walking away from my school for a week ( currently an interrim principal of an elementary school,so all you parents feeling guilty for pulling your children out of school, don't feel too guilty :-).

Please fill me in on what I've missed!! I read somewhere you will all be meeting the day of embarkation, is that still a go? Sorry if I have so many questions, we're just 4 days away and i'm trying to catch up on the fun. Looking forward to meeting you all!!!!

I will have some FEs for you guys;)

Could I get your kids names, for the FE Gifts

well, I think we are going to hit the patio bar at cabo right after our whale watching trip..so prob 11:30...grab some appetizers and be smilingly (translation: tipsily) waving y'all in.....I saw tequila shrimp on the menu....

It looks like we'll be on a couple of the same excursions - we're whale watching, too. But no Cabo Wabo for us - the kids will be along, my husband has never had a drink (yeah, I know), and last time I drank in Mexico, I ended up dancing on the tables, singing La Bamba at the top of my lungs in the taxi (much to the taxi driver's glee), and realizing that Fernie, who was funny at Papa's & Beer, wasn't so funny when he showed up at the dock calling to me in a Spanish I couldn't understand because none of the words appear in the lyrics of La Bamba.

It was a confusing time. :rotfl2:

Here are some pictures of Cabo Wabo and the other well-known tourist trap The Giggling Marlin. They are pretty close together. This will give you an idea of what they look like from the street and on the inside. I posted these on Photobucket and am crossing my fingers the link will work. (emoticon of fingers crossed here)

Cari & Sue - we don't have any activity planned for Cabo. Let's plan at 11:00 so we can take in the sights, sounds, and smells at our leisure as we work our way over to Cabo Wabo. Cari, you're smart to be careful with Denver, he's a precious boy. Steve and I calculated the dollar cost of each guide dog that graduates from the San Rafael organization at $100,000. And that's with all the volunteer time/cost of puppy raising! I know you would never put a price on your best buddy, but they are EXTREMELY valuable.

Would you like to meet for breakfast or lunch on Monday to plan?

Cheers,
Cheryl

Oops! The photos are in reverse order in the photobucket link in my previous post :confused3 Just click on slideshow, then on "slow" and "reverse order" at the bottom corner of the slide show and they will make more sense! :teacher:

Thanks for the great pictures, Dave and I plan on going to the The Giggling Marlin, we went there a few years ago and loved it. We still might come down to Cabo Wabo if we have time.
