Disney Wonder Eastbound Panama Canal - October 2015

Hi all,

We booked this cruise on the 2014 EBTA last week.

We had a booking on next year's EBTA and wanted to rebook onboard, but the pricing is outrageous now, so we are looking at this cruise instead.

The timing isn't the greatest - my daughter will be 7 at the time (in second grade).

It will be myself (52), and my wife(47) along with our daughter.

We don't do facebook so am hoping that we can get information on this board. We'd be interested in doing FE's if that's been talked about.

Welcome aboard! I am sure once it really starts going we can relay info here too. There's mostly been chat of what we may do pre cruise and where to stay. An FE has been mentioned I believe but at this moment I dont think anyone in particular has decided to start one.

I am contemplating setting up a "secret Mickey" for those who may want to do it as well as or instead of FE.

We booked this cruise on opening day. It will be myself, my wife, our nearly 4 year old son, and our soon to be daughter who will be either 1, or nearly 1 at the time of the cruise.

This will be our second Disney Cruise, and our second time on the Wonder. We did a 7 Day our of Galveston last October, and we were hooked. Prices for the cruise were much much cheaper though. I believe we paid $2300 for the 3 of us for a 7A GTY, and ended up in a 5A! This time around, we booked a 5B.

We're really looking forward to this cruise, though it is quite a ways away. I don't think we ever booked a vacation this far in advance.

Looking forward to seeing this thread pick up a bit as the cruise gets closer. I will check out the Facebook group too.

Welcome to the group!!

Things have sizzled out a little after all of our initial booking excitement but i'm certain it'll pick up again :-)

Wow, didn't expeat to see a response so quickly. It's 11:20 pm here in Hawaii, and this board is usually pretty dead at this time (most people on the mainland US are sleeping).

I see that you're from the UK, so that makes sense, middle of the morning for you.

Hopefully this thrend do e s pick up a little, though we didn't really do anything social on our last cruise as we were a bit overwhelmed with the experience and traveling with my son. It will likely be the same this time around with my son and daughter keeping us busy. It was nice to see what others were planning and which excursions people were going to go on...

It's 10:24am here and I am having my morning coffee and dis catch up :-)

This will be mine and DHs 3rd Disney cruise. Our last was only 4 nights and definitely not enough so over compensating with 14 nights next year. With our last 2 we haven't done a lot of mingling - our holidays are our alone time where we get to reconnect and be together - but this time we are looking forward to meeting up with everyone and doing a tasting or 2 so we at least know some friendly faces around the ship :-)

Welcome! I was thrilled to see this as will be traveling with our just-turned-4 year-old son and our 1 or nearly 1 year old son (arriving end of Oct.)! At first I though I was reading a different thread and thought about how great it would be if you were on our cruise, then I realized that you are! Woo hoo!

Happy to report my friend finally booked this cruise. We went to junior high and high school together and reconnected on facebook a while back. Finally got to see her after FORTY-FIVE years last fall! She recently reconnected with a high school sweetheart and he'll be joining us too! Now I've got about 15 months to teach and taunt them with DCL info!

Welcome aboard! I am glad to see more people joining this cruise thread! I'm sure as the September 2014 Panama Canal Cruise happens we will get more chatty.

Not sure how to sign-in for the Roll Call but we're booked and eagerly looking forward to an 'extended' cruise. Sailed our first Disney cruise on the Fantasy last February and loved it! Have already booked January 28, 2015 on the Wonder in addition to this cruise.

There will be four of us on this sailing. It'll be a DCL first for the friends coming along with us.

Any special tips on the itinerary or the ship you'd like to share?

Thanks!

Elaine E.

Welcome to the boards and this thread! I believe as time goes by we'll get a lot more active :goodvibes

Definitely planning on this, but haven't booked yet due to other cruises that are first.

Hi all,
I'm Angelique from the Netherlands and DH and I booked this cruise last night, sooooo excited!! Our friends from Tennessee who we met on our last cruise are joining us.

This will be our 4th cruise (3rd one still to do in november). Only cruised on the Dream and Fantasy, so very excited to be on the Wonder :cool1:

I requested to be added to the FB group

I'm not an active poster on the DIS

Looking forward counting down with you all :cheer2:

Welcome aboard guys!!

HI All

We booked this cruise whilst onboard the EBTA this year and looking forward to our first PC cruise which we have wanted to do for a long time.

This will be for our 25th wedding anniversary, although celebrating it a wee bit early, but it was one of our bucket list things we had to do, so it will be another box ticked.

We're Mary & DH Stevie. We love the long cruises, but have only done transatlantics up until now and board the Magic in 6 weeks for the WBTA :cool1: can't wait

Welcome aboard guys and congratulations on the upcoming 25 anniversary! seem a few of us are celebrating something onboard!! DH and I were originally going to do the WBTA this year but we have been renovating our new home so ultimately decided our time and funds were better spent on that instead of holidays. Making up for it in 2015 though ;)
