Disney Wonder Dry Dock Watch - 11/10 Wonder departs on first cruise out of Galveston

OK so I know I'm being paranoid but can anyone confirm that Dory's Reef did in fact get added? It's not on the DCL website yet as part of the ship. I will be heart broken if it got scrapped for some reason as I have envied Nemo's Reef on the Dream class ships since I saw it & I am so excited to take my little one to Dory's Reef on our cruise on 11/10 from Galveston. I don't see any pics & Aqua Lab is listed on the website but no Dory's Reef yet. I know at least one person indicated they are a crew member so maybe someone will know the answer...

I thought the stage area was on the opposite wall from the entry?

A little hard to see, but on the right side of this picture, you can see the little dance floor and the front of the stage. To the upper left is the entry to the kitchen. That's the side the buffet is on.

This makes me feel much better. :) I saw a pic from another angle without much else around it, and it looked like such a large area. The only place that seemed that large was the buffet. Couldn't figure out how thst was going to work. Can't wait to check her out in person next April and have two whole weeks to explore and enjoy!

Ok, I have updated the post on page 1 with all the new info that we have so far (including new chandelier). Hopefully more things will become clear soon!

I would be very grateful if people who go on the first cruise and who are planning on posting pictures and such to please add them here or at least add a link here to the thread where they are posting them so that I can keep updating the first post here with what we find out. I am sure there will be quite a few minor things that will be seen once the ship is open to the public. I am really excited for the first reports!!

And once again a big thank you to all who have been so good at hunting down pictures online of the process and who shared their finds here!

Folks on the first cruises, please post especially how they handle embarkation lunch. We always went to Parrot Cay because we liked being served over beverages and such when we were juggling all our luggage. I would really hate to have to go up to deck 9 and hunt down a table, then try to steer my way through lunch, fetching drinks and all that stuff. I really hope that they come up with an option for lunch that doesn't require fetching your own drinks while lugging your carry ons and such!

I'll do my best to add photos and offer insight! I've had this trip booked for a year and a half now--I can't believe it's finally almost here.

I'm on the first cruise & will try my best to provide pics & updates, but like a child I have a tendency to get excited & forget about stuff like that. 16 more days!!!

I'm so excited! We can use some happy right now.

I came so close to hopping on that first cruise with IGT... if only I had been able to find good OR cheap flights to Houston from here. They were both expensive AND horrible times... :sad2:

That is horrible! But I have read a few comment so far that the flight issue has put people off those cruises out of Galveston. Great for people who live close, but for everyone else, Orlando and Miami are so much easier.

This is so true. We got a pretty good rate on a cruise in 2013 out of Galveston, but our flights were horribly inconvenient and ground transportation was very expensive. I hope we can do better for the flight home on our EBPC.
