That sounds pretty annoying. Not knowing when school starts is no fun.
I find it a bit funny that school starts a few day before a holiday. Wouldn't it make more sense to start right after the holiday? Well, what do I knowour holidays are very predictable here.
The problem is that we are in the Northeast, and snow days are a huge issue. This year we started after Labor Day, and ended up with 6 snow days. Our last day of school is now 6/26.... So they try to avoid that by starting a little earlier. Next year we're starting the Monday before Labor Day, but I don't know about 2016 yet.

I've been sick fora few days in Lhasa (Tibet) so I've been catching up on DIS reading

for being caught up on the DIS!
DH isn't particularly happy that I'm leaving him home, but I told him that this is going to be a "girl's only" trip and someone needed to stay home and get DD moved back into her college dorm room again next fall.

Hi We are a family of four Karen, Daniel, Aaron (25) & Natalie (20) we all love our Disney cruises. DH and I did westbound Panama Canal this year and loved it so much we are taking the young people next year. It will be our 15th cruise. My parents have also booked now too
