There is a rumor going around that the Disney Wonder has been chartered by the Disney Vacation Club for the 4 day Feb. 2-6, 2003 sailing. This is supposed to be a members only sailing for Disney Vacation Club members.
That would explain why I can't get a price quote for that sailing! I tried about a month ago to get a quote as I was wanting to book a birthday cruise but was told that sailing was unavailable.
Yes, indeed, I just got the DVC invitation in the mail today. In fact DVC is setting up a special one time weekend time slot for cruise reservations only (for you non-DVCers they never take ressies on the weekend!), namely 8/24/02 at 9:00am. There are no real details with the invitiation (other than 2 days at Castaway Cay) so if anyone has any inside scoop on what special activities are planned for this cruise please pass them along!
Word has it (on the DVC board) that points charts will be out Friday! I would LOVE to do it but since we are taking sooooo many people this Oct we've already borrowed over half our 2003 (Oct.) points so DH says "NO". What a great dead of winter, just the two of us getaway, don't cha think?
No they aren't taking reservation as of yet. I've posted what they announced today on their website:

This is a Member Event not to be missed!
I called member services and was told the point schedule should be out tonight on the DVC website, if not by tomorrow. She did not know if it would be less or more points shown on the 2003 chart. I'm hoping for less points. We better hit those phone lines early on the 24th, to get rooms. She also said we could book rooms for friends and family members, which would be great. As usual, we can use points and/or cash to reserve.
Yes, the Point Chart is up on the DVC Website. It's slightly more points for each category than the regular 4-night cruise at that time of year. It's leaving Sunday and going to Castaway Cay on Monday, Nassau on Tuesday, back to Castaway Cay on Wednesday, and home on Thurs.
FYI - members can purchase cash-only reservations also and here are the ones I asked about --
