Hey there Dis Family,

Planning a Jan 2020 trip on the Wonder. All the rooms that I am looking at are new as of the 2016 refurbish. They were once the Edge Club but now all are cabins. I had hoped to avoid connecting cabins because I have read on the Dis Boards/ WDW Info site regarding some connecting rooms have had issues with noise. I see that the cabin 2567 is not connected with another cabin but I have not been able to find ANY reviews on the room? If anyone can give a review I would be ever so grateful!

Also, this would be our 2nd Cruise with Disney and first go round, we stayed in a verandah cabin on the Dream and now in an interior cabin on the Wonder. What are the positives and negatives of staying on the Wonder?

I don’t know about the cabin, but just to clarify hotel/ship-speak since you used the terms interchangeably...

Most cabins will adjoin at least one - next to or across the hall from but no door in between - so it is very difficult to avoid adjoining cabins.

Some cabins have a door between them and therefore are both adjoining AND connecting.

So from your description, you are wanting to avoid connecting cabins.

(It sounds nit picky, but as someone who worked in the hotel industry, it is not. Adjoining and connecting are two different things in hospitality-industry language. And specificity matters.)

First, why do you want to avoid a connecting room ? Contrary to what some believe, you will not hear your neighbors any more than in a non-connecting room. From experience, if the next-door family is loud, you will hear them in any stateroom. If they act normally, you will not hear a peep in a connecting room.

As for the Wonder, she’s a wonderful ship that sails exclusive itineraries. The cons are the lack of Aquaduck or Aquadunk, sweets shop, Rémy and Midship Detective agency. The pros are that everything is closer, less people if you visit Castaway Cay, an exclusive show in Frozen, one of the best dining rooms (and surely the loudest) in Tiana’s and the fact that it leaves from Galveston if that is convenient for you.

Thank you for the clarification.

Marc, thank you for responding to my post. It is very much appreciated. Our kids weren’t upset about the Aqua Duck so that wasn’t an issue. I am actually very excited about the shows that will be on the Wonder. Praying they don’t change before we sail (1/20). We chose this cruise for the itinerary. Glad that Wonder will be such a great ship to sail on.

I would say that Animator's on the Dream class ships is louder on crush night. Tiana's and Rapunzel's can both be loud if you are close to the front.

To OP, the Wonder is actually our favorite ship. I've found that the service is superior.

We've sailed on the Wonder twice and the Fantasy twice. I personally like the shows on the Wonder a lot more than the shows on the Fantasy. Also, the Wonder and Magic don't do the Crush show at the AP restaurant, however the show they do instead is so much better!! My dd also liked the kid's club on the Wonder more than on the Fantasy. We stayed in 2072 on the Wonder in 2014 and it was a great, quiet location. It was an Oceanview room, but is probably in the same area as the cabin you are looking at. Last year we stayed in 2592 and we heard noises from above us at night. I believe we were under one of the kitchens.
