This specific thread is for the sailing of the Disney Wonder in Alaska on August 8, 2016 (thus 8/8). Does your cruise to Alaska embark on August 8?

Sorry, if I confused you! I was just saying this thread is for people sailing on the August 8th cruise, so it doesn't have many people following it/reading it. It's good to post here to meet people that will be on the same cruise, but if you're looking for information from people who have already done Alaskan cruises, the regular disboards Disney cruise line forum will give you lots more info.

I've done tons of research, from reading the boards here, to reading stuff on the disneycruiselineblog, etc., taking out books from the library on Alaska and Vancouver, etc. But I'm a planner--and this part is half the fun for me.

Where is everyone coming from? We live just outside of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada so we will be driving to Vancouver.

We're coming from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. DH and I did the Disney Mediterranean cruise for our honeymoon and loved it. DD (5, will be 6 by the time we cruise) has been to WDW, but this is her first cruise. Can't wait!!!

Can't wait for our Cruise. This will be our second one Disney Cruise. We are doing a Fish extender and Private Mixology class on another group so I will not be signing up for this one. We are From Denver Suburbs. My daughter is 6 my Son will be 9 atoc. We are super excited. Using Southwest points to fly to Seattle we will spend two days there and then take the Amtrak to Vancouver on Saturday morning.

I am also organizing an informal meet and greet for ice cream at Bella Gelataria. Anyone is welcome. Staying at Pan Pacific two nights before the cruise. Anyone else staying there?

We are also flying southwest to Seattle and spending two nights in Vancouver ahead of cruise, but will be at the Hyatt regency. Can't wait for our first cruise! I think we are all in for the experience of a lifetime...so beautiful!

There is a meet and greet for gelato that is being organized on another social media platform there on Sunday evening. Perhaps we can coordinate so that both groups can be in attendance.
