Hi Everyone. I booked this sailing first day it came out! Didn't know about this group!! I only found the other grp. This will be our 2nd cruise first one was on the Magic this past Feb and it was magical! We are super excited and already started looking into things...

IT will be myself, my DH. DS-9 (atoc) and my DD 6 (atoc).

I am not very familiar with Disboards.. where do I post questions regarding this trip...

This will be my family's 2nd Disney Cruise & this time we are bringing a stowaway! (My sister, and also my DS's(5) favourite person!).

So excited to explore Alaska, as I've read a ton of trip reports & spoke to others who have sailed this itinerary, and they absolutely rave about it. It's the perfect cruise for me as well as I thrive in the cooler temps, rather than the summer humidity; must be related to Anna & Elsa for sure .

We're travelling from Toronto, so it's a longer flight than we're used to with Disney World, but we're thrilled not to have to go through customs until we arrive at the port in Vancouver. Yeah for being a Canuck!

Hoping the'll continue to offer the cruises coming out of NYC to 2017 & 2018 as that's next on my wish list for by big "4-0" coming up.

Is pre-trip report just your itenarary for the trip? Just a new thread? I just got off th RCCL cruise Eastern Caribbean and I now need to start planning our Alaskan cruise..So excited.

We are doing Fish extender in another group. IF we choose to do one here how many cabins will this one have. We are doing 10 each in the other group.

Typically, the organizer/group decides on the size of the Fish Extender group. It appears this one (here on DISboards) currently only has 2 participants.

You can browse through the thread of pre-trip reports to get an idea of what people put in them. I just put our itinerary, including the time we're spending in Vancouver, how we're getting around, etc. It was very helpful because I got some good feedback from some folks who've done it before. I've never done a pre-trip before, but I'm glad I did this time.

We will be coming from the suburbs of Dallas Tx! Using our southwest points to fly to Seattle. Planning to do some sightseeing in Seattle and Vancouver in addition to the cruise, which will be an amazing way to escape the Texas heat for 2 weeks!

A lot has changed for us since booking this cruise! We will now be traveling from Chicago instead of Dallas. Not as much need to escape the heat however we are still just as thrilled to be going! We may also be traveling to Portland while on the west coast because sister in law is now living there!

Actually, many cruise meet threads (as well as Fish Extender groups) don't tend to really get going until around 5-6 months out from any given cruise. Before that time, you have a lot of people who book, and then change their mind. Around 6 months out, most people have made the commitment in their minds, and start looking to organize their trip.
