Hi, we are planning a cruise on the Disney wonder, and my husband is in a wheelchair so we would need an accessible room. I cannot see that there are any on the wonder that offer family rooms that sleep 5 (we have 3 small children) is this correct? Would we need 2 rooms? Are any floors better than others to request. We haven’t been on a cruise before but have heard some rooms can be very noisy due to shows/kids club etc and we do have little ones that sleep early or nap. Thanks for any tips!

The majority of ADA cabins are aft, deck 6,7, and 8. Decks 6 or 7 would be your best bet. There are 2 forward on deck 6 but they only have portholes.

You would have no issues on deck 7, especially aft. Gives you a bit of a buffer from the entertainment areas and the restaurants/pool deck. Kids clubs arent that bad tbh. I have a disabled parent so im always looking at accessibility features when I travel and try to include that in trip advisor reviews. Id say im quite impressed with the consideration of disabled access in the disney wonder, your husband will be able to get to every facility quite easily and the crew are very considerate. Id say its one of the better types of vacation. In terms of Alaska (if that’s where you’re going?) the stops are all very much explorable and wheelchair accessible, most of the towns are on one floor and saw lifts in Ketchikan in the places over 2 levels. Many of the excursions both through disney and locally available would be accessible for you guys. Go for it, the kids will love it.

I did a quick search for 5 guests on the Wonder and it did come back with a few dates. It's probably very few staterooms (relatively few sleep 5 anyway, then filter down to accessible it could be literally one or two rooms); I think only verandah category 4, not oceanview or inside.

ETA: I just did some more poking, and it appears stateroom 8094 is offered for a party of 5. Oddly, that rooms indicates "sleeps 4" on the DCL deck plan but it is consistently the only room offered with a party of 5 (and definitely lists out fares for 5). www.cruisedeckplans.com shows it to have the 5th (murphy) bed.

Only problem with that cabin, it is right below Cabana's. Will it be noisey?
