Disney Wonder 5 Night June 8 - 13, 2010

I had hoped for a full show in the theater too, but was glad they had Jeff on because that is something the 4 night lacks.
I guess like everywhere else DCL is making cuts. None of what we experienced was enough to make me change m opinion of the cruise. Even the castaway reception had cutbacks in offerings and so did the concierge reception.

Our serving team was okay-did their job, but not much interaction and gave the excellent speech too many times-heard it at least twice from head server and server each. I was surprised to see the questioin on the survey did you feel pressured to give an excellent rating? Don't they know you do.

What day was that?? We missed it, we wern't sure if it was just offered on the 7 night cruise.

the castaway Club reception was on the sea day in Wavebands. no food set out. waiters served drinks and fruit, appetizers and cookies. the captain was there and Captain Mickey for pictures. They showed a small video and gave out plastic wine glasses that said castaway club.

We were on this cruise too, and we had an AM-AZ-ING time. This was also our first cruise without our kids. Our serving team were brilliant. A guy at our table really wanted apple pie, so one evening they had a whole one made for our table (we were seated with 3 other couples), nothing was too much for them

We were lucky enough to do Palo Brunch, High Tea and Dinner which was all delicious

We missed the CC Party as we were at Brunch

The only show we went to was the Toy Story one which was very good, and we enjoyed the 70's evening too

All in all, a great cruise :)

We were on this sailing as well. Our service team was incredible as well. We were even treated to some special surprises (which I'll post in a separate upcoming Trip Report, and which had to do with B2B cruisers).

Opinions being what they are, I would have to respectfully disagree with OP regarding "Once Upon A Song". Both DS (17) and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. A few of the songs were from "Mary Poppins" (perhaps to tie in with the musical on Broadway and on national tour).

While it might be true that some smaller kids may not recognize some of the songs, we did see a number of younger cruisers around us that were singing along with many of them.

As of this moment (per Christiaan, who was the CD for this sailing), "Once Upon A Song" is only slated for the five night cruises for now. No plans as of yet to continue it on the Wonder next year for the Riviera/Alaska sailings.

I don't really want to post them as I feel it sort of spoils the suprise of whats happening next. At the end of the day you look forward to the navigator to see whats going to be happening.

htmlkid, could you please scan and post the Navigator for Castaway Cay day? I'm trying to get these in advance to produce them in Braille so I'll have them when I cruise with my mom in August.

Thanks for taking the time to share your review. We'll be doing the same itinerary in August, and it helps so much to get advice from those who have been there.
