What is your favorite thing to do, when its just you and your spouse (beyond the obvious.. mind out of gutter.. I was talking grown up meals!!)

We are taking a weekend alone.. and wondered.. what do you like to do when you are childless in disney?

DH & I love Narccoossee's! We eat late there each time we go. A late dining reservation means that the servers are at a more relaxed pace, the venue is perfect, it's fun to watch the fireworks without the crowds and it's always fun to walk through the Grand Floridian or to take the boat to get there. I think it's a great place to have dinner on an adults-only trip :thumbsup2

Ride all the rides that DD 11 doesn't like - and there are some odd ones. Enjoy a relaxing evening at Raglan Road with refreshing beverages and live music. Not having to keep an eye on her when she spies something and we "lose" sight of her. Sit in Paris and watch the world go by with Champagne and "bad for you" pastries as dinner.:rotfl:

Enjoy! And now I really do need to work on that August trip....:yay:

We spent a lot of time relaxing in the hot tub at the Congress Park pool. It was weird not having the kids with us. I almost didn't know what to do with myself!

Well, we've never gone WITH kids. The two times we've gone since we've had kids our favorite activity has been to watch other parents/kids and be happy they are not us :cool1: Next time we will go, we will be trying to navigate the crowds with a stroller and I'm sure have a meltdown or two to deal with...payback! LOL.

ETA: Lest you think we are horrible people, I wanted to point out that we do bring glow sticks to hand out to kids, give away any extra fast-passes, and are sure to help any people/families loading and unloading strollers on busses, etc.

We really, really loved Jiko on one of our trips, and I can't imagine having such a nice experience dealing with our kids there. We loved being able to take the time just checking out resorts, too.

Have a fantastic trip!!

DH and I went by ourselves this past fall. Our favorite things to do besides long relaxing dinners, was strolling around Epcot sampling drinks and food. It is our favorite park anyways, but without the kids we could go at a much more leisurely pace.

As parents we deserve a vacation w/out our own children and I plan on enjoying it..

@blakrock..

We plan on chilling by the pool.. drink in hand.. and not paying attention to any lil person saying/screaming "mom" or "dad"..

I will return in August.. child in tow.. will pay attention then.. =)

When we go without kids, we do a lot of people watching, reading, sleeping in, exploring educational things like the trails at AK, relaxing, dining at WAVE, and everything the kids and grandkids don't want to do.Enjoy!

Another vote for Narcossee. Great food, nice atmosphere and fireworks!!! We also like to try other restaurants geared to adults.

Love to visit the parks at a leisurely pace. No rush to get anywhere (except for TSM and Soarin') Since we usually stay at Boardwalk, we love the walk to Epcot and MGM and hanging out at the pool. We always rent a car, so we visit the other resorts to soak in the atmosphere. Make sure we ride the boats and take the monorail. Of course, we always visit "our brick".

Enjoy your vacation.

My DW and I don't have kids, and enjoy WDW immensly. I suggest a dinner at V&A's if you have the coin to drop. I also suggest constantly having a drink in hand and enjoying WDW from that perspective, especially if it's something you can't do with your kids around. Sit at the Chef's counter at Flying Fish because that's the last place you'll usually find kids. Resort hop bar to bar. Especially take in the bellvue lounge at BWV. Artist Point has been consistently great for us the past couple meals. Atlantic Dance Hall is underated and worth a trip to let loose, have a couple, and dance.

We went without kids for the first time in March and it was wonderful! No rushing around and rides that we "have" to do. We strolled leisurely, went on rides that didn't have longs waits. Spent a LOT of time in the Countries. Enjoyed getting a drink and snack and sitting at the cafe table in Italy and just people watching! We felt like we were in Europe!

Have a great time!

Two things you can't beat...
1. Sitting on our balcony at OKW
2. Walking around Epcot sipping on a Grand Mariner Orange Slush after eating a creme brulee from Boulangerie Patisserie.

La Cava de Tequila...definetly an adult atmosphere. The drinks are great but the appetizers were a real draw for me. I have heard on the boards that most of the food is gone, but the guacamole is still there.

Go there, order the guac and a tequila or Margarita flight. It's small, dark, and very romantic (for WDW).

Hope you have a great trip!

Disney without kids, no way.

well, then why post on this thread?

anyway, hubby and I go alone all the time (our kids are grown). a couple suggestions:
take a segway tour.. great fun!!!
karaokee at the swan
jelly rolls

We have taken 3 trips so far with out our four disney children.

Our favorite things we have done:

1. Behind the seeds Tour at Epcot
2. Jelly Rolls
3. Dinner and Wishes at Cali Grill
4. Hot Tub - late at night
5. Drinking around the world
