FINALLY!!


Getting awfully close to crunch time folks, and I am beyond ecstatic . I am somewhat of a Disney Addict and I would have never though it. I unlike most people, did not visit the World until the age of 22. I went with my family for the first time in December of 2012. It was Myself, my husband, and our two boys at the time. Jordan was six months and Nicholas was one and a half. During this trip we purchased APs and would be back three more times before our passes would expire With these four trips we have become somewhat veterans of the parks. We have stayed at POP, AKL Jambo & Kidani, OKW and SSR. We have attended MVMCP, Flower & Garden, Food & Wine! We love experiencing new places to eat and also revisiting old favorites (Our family tradition is Ohana’s at least once during the vacation). God Bless my husband Jesse who I know really doesn’t care to go to Disney but doesn’t complain at all. I do include different things that everyone wants to do and we enjoy each others company at Disney! This is the reason I fell in love with Disney. It feels like everyone is happy and behaving great . It is going to be 14 months since the last time but we are finally going back!

When it comes to where we stay its always difficult to decide. Thankfully it was left up to me. I have stayed at only a few resorts but I have visited a lot of them while dining, or visiting the resort during the holidays. My absolute favorite resort and it has the best theming in my opinion was my number one choice. I also went with it because I think the boys would appreciate it the most.

We will be staying in a savannah view villa in Animal Kingdom
Lodge Jambo House. It is my favorite resort and breathtakingly beautiful. we have lots of fun memories at AKL. It is separate from the rest of the World, but that is part of its charm. Its like a vacation within a vacation.


Our dates are January 23- February 1. I picked these to be close to Nicholas birthday. Now to start setting the details before my fast pass plus window opens. Until next time.

So without further delays lets get on to the introductions....

Lets meet Jesse, or daddy as we call him. He is my darling husband, my significant other.... my man, my main man(in my vanellope voice) he is just all around awesome. I sort of try and jam Disney down his esophagus. There is not a single time that I tell him well I know I said no more Disney but I wanna go. He tells me with no hesitation book it. I know its not his number one choice but to make me happy he doesn’t protest. Don’t get me wrong he loves the history of WDW and also is fascinated with Walt himself. He just doesn’t get the magic, he feels too old for all that. He might also not completely agree with my commando style of touring. He loves to sleep in on vacation and be lazy. Im the more get up and go at the crack of dawn. Nevertheless he is the Mickey to my Minnie.

My name is Alexandra, nicknamed Ally, or mommy and I am a Disney addict. I have always loved Disney. It all started with The Little Mermaid. I had everything “little mermaid” after that movie came out. I was born in the late 80s but grew up during the 90s. That was my era Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King. Fast forward to December 2012 after being laid off my husband decided to cheer me up by taking us to Disney Word for the first time. I instantly felt the Magic. It was like finally coming home. I feel as if I belong when I am at Disney and I can be myself with no body judging. So I have planned in my head my trips for the next 10 years my DH just doesn’t know it yet

Nicholas is the eldest of the boys, he will be turning 4 short after the trip. He is the sweet kind, helpful child. He says he wants to be a knight in shining armor. He loves thrill rides so far, but has developed a fear of the dark in these couple of weeks during Halloween. I hope he does well in Dark rides.

Last but certainly not least is Jordan. He is the wild child. He laughs hard and is all over the place. He actually loves Disney Princesses. I mean loves he wants dolls. I have no problem if he wants to play with dolls, he is only 2. He has this Merida stuff doll that he drags up and down the house. He kisses her and dances with her. He ever calls her his girlfriend. Its too adorable...... my husband finds it no so cute. I am not allow to buy him anymore dolls. I can’t wait till he actually gets to meet his princesses in real life. Jordan by the way hates rides all types he even hates swing sets. I take them to sesame place and he would rather run around than get on rides. When we do get on rides he starts to panic and squeezes me tight. He also doesn’t like being thrown in the air, he seems to have a fear of heights at 2 go figure.

A lot of exciting things have been happing as of late. Starting with asking my new employer about my previously planned vacation. I am a nurse and recently made the switch to a Primary Care. It is really great working with such a small tight knit group. I was pretty nervous, I mean I did let the interviewer and Human Resources know that I had a vacation planned for January, and I would need the time off even though I know it would be unpaid time off. Everything was cool, except that the people that interviewed me where not the people I was actually working for and I had an onsite manager. So after working for a month and making them fall in love with me . I was talking to my manager Brian and he said no problem just let him know the dates. So my trip magically was extended to include 3 days more all of which were approved. Also my 90 days is a week before my vacation so Im getting a paid vacation.

My hubby declined because of work obligations so it will be just me and my older son Nicholas staying January 21-23 in Saratoga Springs Resort. Since I also wanted to do it up I am splurging on the deluxe dining plan for those days.This will be a lot of first for me, First time on deluxe dining plan, first time going on an airplane with one of my kids by myself, first time visiting wdw without my hubby right there. Also since I placed a reservation for Jan 21, My fast pass plus selection time got moved up. So everything is basically done. Thank goodness and right before all this holiday madness kicks in. Will post our itinerary soon!​

I love making a schedule, also going enough times and knowing my kids pretty well it is a savior at times. I leave enough room in it for unexpected emergencies and have plenty of plan b’s.
