Disney with Teens and Pleasure Island

I find myself to be a very giving parent. this year im sending my two 18 year old's along with their two 19 year old friends to disney. the only issue i have with sending them is the pleasure island part and also the budgetary planning part.
my issues with pleasure island are is it a nightly thing that they would enjoy?, are their other clubs that they can go to besides pleasure island?, what is the pleasure island scene like?, are their alot of drunks or dirtbags that hang around these clubs?, any information you have regarding pleasure island would be great. thanks alot

This past summer my friend (17) and I (18) got to go off to PI on our own. We were allowed into most clubs minus Mannequins and BET in which you have to be 21 or older to get in. We knew this ahead of time and didn't bother trying to get in.lol But there were no "drunks or dirtbags" from what we saw. Just a lot of adults and quite a few families enjoying music and dancing. There were some adults that were tipsy but there was no outlandish behavior. We just kind of giggled at some of the silly things they were saying to one another. But I think it's pretty safe to let them go there. In all the times I've been we've never had any problems. Hope that helps

PI is really the only "night life" in the way of clubs they will be able to go to at WDW. There is also Atlantic Dance Club at Boardwalk... it has a cover, and I think it is probably about $5. Jellyrolls, also at Boardwalk, Mannequins and BET Soundstage at PI are all 21+ clubs, so they won't be able to go into those.

There are plenty of other 18-21 year olds at PI every night, as many of the college program kids that work at WDW frequent there.
