Hi everyone. You guys may have remembered about 2 months ago I asked for input for my Senior projects. Well here is a 3 minute section of my 12 minute video. For those of you that don't remember I am a Rehabilitation Major student at the University of Maine at Farmington. Enjoy

I think it turned out quite well, but I do have 2 comments:
- in the video, the narrator says that the Guest Assistance Cards allow guests to bypass lines. It says right on the card that it is not meant to bypass lines or provide faster or immediate access. It is meant to provide accomidations that are neccessary to meet needs caused by a disability. Most guests do not get a card that allows use of alternate entrances. If you haven't checked it out, I'd suggest you check out the GAC (Guest Assistance Cards) information in the disABILITIES FAQs thread. It's pretty accurate.

- If I had not been to WDW and was watching the video, I would think that most attractions had separate 'wheelchair lines'. Most of the attractions actually have wheelchair accessible lines (Mainstream Lines).

Thanks for the confirmation.
I'd also say that if I knew nothing about WDW, I would think from watching the video that I need a GAC. In fact, most people with disabilities don't need a GAC. If they end up needing one, they will find out about it (or other accomidations that might be helpful) if they go to Guest Relations.

Hey guys thanks for your input! I only put the GAC in because when I did my internship with the Search Beyond Adventures at Disneyland we bypassed lines. If I could go back I would deffinately change that. I just want to point out that that this is a TINY section of my larger video I had to edit to place it online and in my portfolio. In the rest of the video I explain that the guest assistance card is only a suggestion and guest should visit guest services before entering the parks. Thanks again for all the help

Disneyland is a different story from WDW. At Disneyland many of the attractions were not designed with access in mind and so you do in fact bypass lines in more places there.

At WDW you sometimes use other entrances etc. but you still wait in line till you get to that entrance etc.

and as stated wheelchair guests and others without specific additional non visable condistions requireing accomodation don't need to get a GAC. I use a scooter but I also have a condition where I have to stay out of UV so I get a GAC to wait out of any sun.
I have a canopy and am swathed head to toe, I look pretty funny even white gloves. LOL

All in all your video is commendable. pirate:
