Hi Forum
Do You think its ok to go Disney with a baby 1.4 y.o. ?

Anybody had experience?

Welcome to the DIS. :)
I think that it would be a perfectly fine age.
What time of the year are you planning on going? If it is a time when it is hot-summer....then don't forget to use alot of sunscreen, a hat, if you are using a stroller get one that has a cover, and don't forget to give your child alot of liquids.

fourseasons welcome to the DIS

I leave on Sunday with my DD18mo. Were packing lots of Baby sunscreen Spf 60, and water for her.

It's never too early for a Disney trip.

I can give you better actual experence in a coupil of weeks though.

we have taken our daughters at 6 mos, 12 mos, 15 mos, 24 mos, 3yrs...this upcoming trip they will be 18 mos and 4 yrs old.

it's definitely do-able. As the previous poster said, take sunscreen and water. Make sure that you have a good canopy on your stroller and bring a light blanket even in the summer so that you can give them more shade. get a rain cover or a poncho to put over the stroller b/c it rains almost every afternoon in the summer. PUt the poncho over the stroller to protect it even when you go into a ride so you don't come out to a sopping wet stroller. always bring a change of clothing.

make sure you take a break in the afternoon hours. we *never* did this before we had kids. i am the type who always wants to go, go, go from opening til closing. but we had to scale back our expecations of what we wanted to do. we took a break and came back to the resort for a swim break every day and we discovered that our daughters liked this part *better* than the parks!

Oh my, of course! We've been with 6 month old, one year old, one and a half year old, sometimes multiple times! Have a vcomfy stroller so your baby can nap as needed, and bring a blanket that can act as a screen from the sun when baby sleeps. Very very doable! Have fun!

We went last year when my dd was 12 months! She was so precious, everything was so big, and there was so much to look at, she was pretty happy the entire time.

We are taking DS who will be 18 months in just a few weeks  ! This will be his THIRD trip. We are DVC owners and have the points so why not use them. We have had a great time each and every trip so far. There are different issues with the different ages. I know DS had a great time each trip although he won't remember it. We will remember it though and we have GREAT memories.

Many people do it. Our baby loved Disney at 9mos and 18mos. She loved the characters and babies can do many rides and shows in WDW. Our baby slept in the stroller at times. We also spent time in the baby care centers at each park to give her a break. Just bring all your supplies and do shows and the smaller rides with your baby. Also use child swap for rides she can't do. The pictures and those moments are priceless. Plus babies are free. Take your baby while she is free up until just before she turns 3. You will be happy you did.

We took DS when he was 1 1/2 and the trip went very smoothly. Had him in a sling or stroller most of the time. He loved everything! Now he "remembers" by looking at our scrapbooks. Enjoy your trip!

Hi everyone :wave2:
thanks much.. so many warm replies and advices.
Is there any attractions for that age?

There are tons of attractions for that age!

Mk:
Jungle Cruise
Tiki Lounge
HM (at that age they don't know enough to be scared)
Pirates of the C ( we took our baby and she was never bothered, but there is a noisy shooting sequence)
Small World
Peter Pan
Mickeys Philharmagic (it's 3-d and your babe may not keep her glasses on but babies can still go)
Snow Whites Scary Adventures (there is nothing scary about it for baby)
Pooh's honey pots ( i'm not sure of the name, but it's the winnie the pooh ride)

Baby can see all the parades and fireworks and Cinderellabration on the Castle stage. Baby can also meet the characters at toon town fair. I believe there are no height restrictions for Barn Stormer, Dumbo and Alladdinn.

MGM:
Beauty and the Beast show
Playhouse Disney
The little Mermaid Show
Great Movie Ride ( there is a noisy shooting sequence during the western part, so if your baby is jarred by noises, stay away)
Muppet Vision 3-D ( Baby probably won't wear the glasses for long, but it shouldn't keep you guys from enjoying the show).
Fantasmic ( it has some intense scenes, but babies don't know what to be scared of. I've seen many babies at fantasmic, mine included)
The afternoon parade

Epcot
Character Connection (a great place to meet the characters, rarely crowded).
Turtle talk with Crush
The Land
Spaceship Earth ( long and completely relaxing)
Journey into Imagination with figment
El Rio Del Tiempo
Maelstrom
There are many shows in the World Showcase that you all will love such as American Adventure Show, The acrobats in China, There is a rock group in Canada called off kilter, that everyone seems to love, the drummers in Japan. Just get show times.

She can also do some scribbling at some of the kidcot funstops. There are also many characters around World Showcase.

AK
Pocahontas's Show
Festival of the Lion King
Affection Section ( it's a petting zoo)
Wild Life Express Train
Triceratop Spin
Kilimanjaro Safari
Flights of Wonder (it's a neat bird show)
The afternoon parade will be fun for baby. Just wandering around seeing all of the animals is a thrill for babies.

DD went at 6 months and 18 months!!! At 18 months she was riding her daddy's shoulders yelling LOOK LOOK!!! Also DS went when he was a little under 2 and those are my BESTEST memories!!!

at the end of this month, we will be taking our son who will almost be 9 months old by then. hopefully, everything will go smoothly:)

I took a five week old, and lived to tell the tale. We ended up spending lots of time in the breastfeeding rooms and at the BCV pool to escape the heat but I am still glad we went. It was a big family trip we had planned since before DS was on the radar and I wouldn't have missed it for anything. It was nice having family there to help out. I said "If you are going to recover from child birth anywhere, WDW is right up there at the top of the list!' The parks are designed for children - go - have fun! We have taken our three year old daughter three times, and this coming September will be her fourth trip and her brothers second. He won't remember the trip, but we will still get tears in our eyes when we remember Tigger hugging him and boucing with his big sister!

Try to take your child to the barber shop on Main Street in MK. Our ds3 got his first haircut there, received a mickey ears hat embroidered with 'first haircut', a certificate, his cut hair mixed with 'pixie dust', and all the while was entertained by the barbershop quartet....until he fell asleep during the haircut and they sang lullabies........precious memories!

ds4 will get his first haircut in MK this November

Best wishes!

Personally, I think it is a great time to take them because they are free for everything. They can be a lap child on the plane, free admission to WDW, and they can eat off your plate for food.

My DD was 22 months on her first trip and she loves to watch the videos and look through the pictures. She loved it!
