SOOO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol
I need tips, advice, etc. We are traveling w/ a set of grandparents, me and myhubby , my 3 older children ages 7,8,9. and the baby.
I need tips on what to take, what to expect wait wise, what to do w/ the baby while waiting for things etc. I need help in general LOL!!!
thanks kat

I went this past October with my 3 year old and 6 month old sons. The parks have special areas like baby comfort rooms. They have plenty of changing tables and comfy chairs for feedings. They also had food or formula in case you had forgotten something.

I would take my boys back every afternoon around 1 or 2 for a nap. Essential for a good day for us. We would go back later and stay until the park closed.

It will probably will be easier since the baby will be so small, a toddler I think could be more challenging.

Hope the rest of your pregnancy is joyful!

Well, when we went with an infant, he was about 8 months old, so a little different circumstance than newborn, but newborn might almost be easier in that you don't really have to worry about the entertainment factor.

First advice - get to know where the baby care centers are at each park - they are lifesavers! Air conditioning, changing tables, private rooms for nursing, water dispensers, sinks to wash bottles, nuks etc Also extra supplies for purchase in case you run out of something or forget something.

Mostly babies can sleep through anything, so that is a plus and at 2 months they are pretty portable. Pack up your stroller, bring a front pack so you can carry hands free. Take breaks when you need to.

You may need to "divide and conquer" with the older kids to have one parent take them to do rides while other parent cares for a baby need. Pretty much all the rides have a "baby swap" arrangements so you call can wait in line together and then one parent will go off with baby while the other rides with the older kids and then you swap and likely at least one of the kids will get a "do over" to ride with the parent that originally had to sit out.

I'm sure others will chime in with other practical tips, but those were a few things that I could think of.

Congratulations, and happy planning for your awesome vacation!

We took our DD at 3 months old to WDW and I was completely surprised by how much we were able to do. I planned on only doing 3 or 4 rides a day but we clearly got twice that or more. You can generally go on any ride that doesn't have a safety belt/harness or is height restricted.

The main thing is to take it easy. Your baby will sleep when he/she wants to. Definitely find out where the baby centers are and don't be afraid to use them. I breastfed my DD there several times a day.

Take a cell phone or walkie-talkies with you so you can meet up with the rest of the group when you are done feeding/diapering your baby. The nursing rooms are either one medium size room (only moms with babies allowed) or individual ones but they really are only big enough for mom and baby).

I would go nurse my DD and send my husband to take pictures of something (parade, show, etc) and then grab something to eat. Then I would meet him and we'd eat together. I didn't look at the photos he took until we got home, so it was a 'surprise' for me and a little more reminder of Disney.

We went early February with our then 3 month old and our 4 and 6 year old sons. I was actually surprised at how easy it was! I visited the baby care centers in 3 parks one time each but only because they were convenient at the time for diaper changes. I wouldn't have treked across the park to get to them. I was (still am) nursing so I just fed him when ever and where ever he needed to eat. The biggie stuff for us was a good stroller that was comfy for baby. Comfy for him was more important to me than compact and I'm glad we went with that option even though it was more to deal with on the busses (which we only had to do on 2 days so no biggie). A front pack was also helpful. The stroller rain cover was a must have since the weather was not great for us. My older kids actually liked doing baby swap because it meant they got to ride twice with no waiting so they were thrilled with that. LOL We had a few days where I brought the baby back to the resort for a nap while DH and the older boys did a few more rides at the parks before meeting us for dinner or something but DS was also perfectly happy to sleep in the stroller.

Baby thoroughly enjoyed our trip! He LOVED the parades. Liked the fireworks and seemed to just enjoy being outside and having lots of new stuff to look at. :)

Yes, I highly recommend the front pack carrier. We took carrier and jogging stroller into the parks and used both. Sometimes it was just more convenient to park the stroller in one area and have DD in Baby Bjorn. It is definitely quicker to walk with child than to navigate a stroller around the park. People just assume that they have the right of way and will walk/jump/run in front of you.

Of course, one's back can only handle the carrier for so long, so a stroller is a must!

I will be going in Oct. with our maybe 3 month old, 3 year old, 4 year old, 12 year old and DH. The only "must-have's" for me - bjorn (for DH) and sling (for me - easier on my back). I, too, am a 4 time mom so I nurse in the sling everywhere, no one can ever tell so it's a great thing to have.

At 7, 8 & 9 with the grandparents, I think you're going to have an amazing time! I wouldn't bother with afternoon breaks, and I wouldn't even split up, you can baby swap and ride with your older kids all day!

Have fun!

We went in the middle of Feb with DS who was 6 months old. It was great. We brought his bjorn but since he's a big guy ( 20lbs) it was a bit uncomfortable on DH and myself, but we did bring our stroller from home and Im so glad we did. We were able to put the stroller seat down and let DS nap. Which with all that fresh air he did a lot of. We did lots of character meets and they were awesome with him. We even got him his own autograph book ( the one you can add pictures to) so that when he's older he will have proof he was there when he was a baby.
We did get him some children's earplugs which we used for Lights, Motors which is really loud and for fireworks.
The baby centres were great. My favourite one being the one in the MK. We loved how there was a bathroom for us too. The one in MGM doesnt have a adult bathroom, which is across the way from the baby centre, but still was nice.
Even at resturants, DS was good. Most of the dinners, he would be passed out asleep and the hostess's kind enough to let us take him in his stroller. Which of course he woke up as soon as our food would arrive :) but he does that at home too

In Dec., my DD was 5 months when we went to WDW. In addition, there was a 5y/o, 2 2y/o, and a 10mo. old. We were there for Christmas and it was extra crowded. I nursed whenever and wherever with no problems. I didn't use the baby centers, like I thought I would though.

Between my DH and I, we carried her in the bjorn most of the time, even though we had the stroller.

We didn't have a problem doing anything. We were lucky that she was cooperative. At times, my DD and I would sit on a bench while the others were playing in the playground or going on a ride.

Hope that you have a great time!!

Congratulations!!! We were in August with our 3 yo and 4 month old. Only reason we did not use the bjorn was b/c it was just too HOT!!
She was great and to echo the other posts, alot easier than I imagined it would be.
A stroller that reclines was a big help b/c she slept in her stroller alot.
And the one thing that I am so glad we had was a stroller fan from onestepahead.com.
It clipped on to her stroller and blew enough air to keep her cool but not too much for a little baby.
Also took grandparents which in my own opinion, make Disney that much easier!!!
Have a great trip!

We just got back from Disney with our 3 month old DS. We were also very surprised at what we were able to do. We went to MK and Epcot and were able to ride many rides. We used the baby care centers and they were wonderful for a nice break. We always were back at the resort by about 8pm so he could have his last feeding before bed. We packed extra diapers, wipes, powdered formula, bottles, an extra outfit and bottled water for making bottles. I used a backpack instead of a diaper bag since it is easier to carry. We also brought our front pack baby carrier and a stroller. It was our first trip with a baby and we found it to be alot of fun. :)

My wife used a sling after our last was born( his first trip was when he was 3 weeks old) and we didn't have any problems at all. If I read correctly grandparents are going also so that will help. Just remember go slow , take time to smell the roses and use the parent swap. Pack plenty of diapers and baby clothes( at least baby clothes dont take up to much room)

We went in March with our six week old son - I said at the time, if you are going to recover from childbirth, Disney is a wonderful place to go. We spent a lot of time by the pool relaxing. My suggestions are keep yourself and the baby very well hydrated. Cut back your activities to a few hours at a time - always go back for naps in the afternoon. Take a good stroller like a peg perego or a bugaboo. Lots of thin white blankets to deflect heat as your baby can't use sunscreen. Most important item for any mom - baby bjorn! we also rented a bassinet from "baby's best friend" online which was great - it was delivered to our hotel room - be sure to ask for unscented linens.
Congrats!
Oh yes, don't forget to schedule a character meal to introduce the baby to Tigger or Mickey...

Everyone had some really good tips so far..i would recommend looking into a nice comfy sling rather than a front carrier for a baby that young. Look at these i had them for my girls and are awesome.. http://goo-ga.com/ a micro fleece would probably be perfect for that time of year!!
