Disney with Adult Siblings

I did not visit Disney until I was 26 years old. Since we didn't go to WDW as children, my younger brother has also never visited the mouse. I have gone every year for the past 3 years now and I am going twice this year. Every visit brings bitter sweet feelings as I lament the fact that I am not sharing the experience with my brother. I am hoping that this October will be the trip he attends. Any suggestions for how to lure an adult first timer to the parks?

My sister and I aren't into this, but you might try selling him on the nightlife in Downtown Disney/Disney Springs. I have heard that there are great bars and music. There are also places to golf if your bro is into that. Or maybe book a day at Universal Studios if he is more into thrill rides?

Another thing you might try is reading The Hidden Magic of Disney World. The author also talks about not being able to sell her brother on Disney until she took him on a tour where she explained all the little secrets and magic in the parks (hidden mickeys, hidden imagineer signatures on the rides, things like that). Maybe if you told your brother about some of the not so obvious Disney Magic, he would be more into it.

Good luck!!!

My sister and I took a sister's trip a few years ago and it was the best! We grew up going to Disney a few times together with our parents, though she went once before I came along. Though we are nine years apart in age, we get along really well and have the energy to do alot of things.
I have traveled with my family, extended family, school, friends and my spouse, and I think my sister trip was my favorite. I don't have any kids yet (she has two little ones) but looking forward to sharing a trip with both of our families some day.

Sis and I went with grown up kids, then just sis me and Mom, last year sis and me. They were all wonderful...but sis and me the best! Doing it again next October with a cruise in the middle.....plus MNSSHP.......we have so much fun planning it together the trip is just icing on our cake! We get to do both adult and kid stuff, love the rides, shopping, characters and magic. Hubby and kids get to stay home with the dogs! Have a wonderful time!
