Wednesday, August 22
After getting to bed so late after e-night, the in-laws made plans to just meet us at our 11:00 PS for 50's Prime Time since they had no desire to go to early entry. When Mickey called this morning, we were too tired ourselves and ended up sleeping in. We got to 50's PTC 10:45. Virginia had told us they would be there at 10:45 also since you are really supposed to check in a few minutes early. They did not get there until 11:15. I was worried that we would lose our PS.
This was the most fun restaurant of our trip. I believe our waitress's name was Cousin Patty. She really played up her part. I ordered a PBJ shake for my drink and she was reluctant to bring it to me for fear it would ruin my appetite. I finished every last drop of that shake it was so good. DH and I both had pot roast which was pretty good. Courtney had a peanut butter sandwich which she ate all of which is a miracle in itself. FIL and MIL both enjoyed their meals but I don't remember what they had. Karyn ordered macaroni off of the children's menu and she said it was good. Robert, Courtney, and I shared the smores which were delicious. FIL, MIL, and SIL all got sundaes. I grew up watching Donna Reed and Leave it to Beaver so I really loved this place. DH ate some of his green beans. Cousin Patty got every single green bean left on his plate stabbed on to the fork and tried to force feed him. Needless to say we all enjoyed watching DH squirm (except DH).:D Cousin Patty was right about that shake- I had at least half of my meal left.
After lunch DH, DD, and I went one way and FIL, MIL, and SIL went another. We went to see Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Courtney tried to catch all of the bubbles. Then we went to see Beauty and the Beast. The best thing about the show was the preshow. Those guys gave me goosebumps. IMHO, the preshow is so good that the actual show pales in comparison. Courtney saw Mulan and Shang and wanted their autographs. Courtney DID NOT want her picture taken with Cruella. Robert wanted to go ride TOT and RnRC so I took DD to Star Tours at her request and Muppet Vision 3-D. Star Tours was Courtney's favorite thing at Disney-MGM. Then it happened. We got lost. I have no sense of direction and do not know this park as well as I know Epcot and MK. We saw Mr. Smee after we had gotten turned around and could not figure out how to get out of the park. We eventually made it to the boat and somehow still managed to beat Robert back to the hotel. The in-laws had already made it back to their room. It was too late for a nap today so after Robert got back we all headed to MK again.
We still had not seen some of the things that closed at 5:00 like COP and Timekeeper and we were too late again. We let DD pick what she wanted to do first so we rode POC and then went and had dinner at Columbia Harbour House which everyone enjoyed. Courtney could eat chicken nuggets and french fries for every meal if we would let her. FIL wanted to ride the Liberty Bell riverboat and I loved the view from the top deck. However, I was a nervous wreck by the time we got off because DD wanted to wander everywhere and the boat was pretty crowded. After getting off the boat we snagged our seats for Spectromagic. We sat in front of the Diamond Horseshoe and it ended up being a great place to watch. After the CMs put the rope out, we sat right behind it and, for once, no one pushed in and crowded us out right before the parade. We liked the parade but DH and I agree that we both like the MSEP better. I really missed that hokey music for some odd reason.
We hopped the bus and hit the sack.
Tomorrow- breakfast with the princesses and dinner in Japan.

Sounds like you had a great day! Thanks for posting. :)
