I've taken both my kids when they were 10 months old but that is a big difference from 5.5 months, which our newest babe will be when we are thinking of going. Should we wait and go next year when the baby is 18 mos old?

I took my 4 month old. We had passes and we had her older sister.

I was a bit panicked at first. Kept asking CM's if it would be okay. I was assured it was fine and happens all the time. She was fine.

We did take in her stroller system with car seat carrier. I made sure to bring something plastic to cover it in case it rained. If you have a sling or snuggly carrier you probably don't need to bring the whole system.

We took the day slow---and closely monitored how she was feeling...i.e. didn't want her to overheat or anything. I nursed on demand so feedings we on her schedule whenever that happened to be and it was completely fine. Though I do not have qualms about nursing in public. We nursed on all the rides conducive to this and for me it wasn't a big deal.

She handled the day beautifully.

I do not recall our first overnight to Disney--but we didn't wait until she was older and it was sometime in her first year I believe.

We went for our first family trip when my daughter was 2 and my son was 6 months. We had a wonderful time. The baby was easy - he was in a stroller or front carrier and he was just amazed by everything he saw. I just held him on the rides and he loved looking all around. If he was tired, he just fell asleep and we could still go on rides with me carrying him in the front pack. I nursed him during shows and when we took our frequent breaks. We took it slow and went at the kids' pace. We have adorable pictures of him smiling up at characters! We went again when he was 18 months old - again a fun trip, but it was a LOT more work chasing a one year old around! It was another great trip, though!

Short answer. So very easy. Anything between 2 months and starting to walk is exteremly easy. I wouldn't even blink at it. IMO, the most difficult stages are when they just start walking and the potty training stage. Babies are portable!! You can feed them anywhere and change them anywhere and they sleep anywhere. They don't care.

SOOOO EASY! :thumbsup2 We just went in October when our little girl was almost 5 months old. I, too, nurse on demand and I found the Baby Centers GREAT!!!!! I took it slow. Whenever I needed to nurse her, if I wasn't too far I would go to the Baby Center. If I was too far, I would go into a bathroom stall and nurse her for 10 minutes or so. I don't like doing it in public because my little girl pushes my shirt all the way up and HATES anything over her head! So I would rather have a little privacy. :cool2: But you could honestly nurse your baby ANYWHERE in the parks, and no one would think twice!!!!

We had a ball. GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

GO FOR IT!!!

Took both of my girls when they were at that age. You pack your backpack in the morning just like you would if you were going shopping for the day. I had a front carrier that my girls loved. I would put them in it and take them on the ride like that. Yes it is allowed. Made me feel safer. They would fall asleep when they wanted. We would take a snack break at feeding time etc.

We also had great luck taking our 5 month old twins! We rented a very comfy stroller (not from Disney) and brought our Baby Bjorns with us. The girls did great. We had to plan a lot though (where the nursing stations were, what time we thought they'd want to eat, etc).
Have a fantastic trip!!!
