Tuesday 10th January
On Tuesday morning, I work up at stupid O'clock, and just felt so awake. I asked Sam if he wanted to chat- ha! At like 5am, no thank you! I then started worrying about anything and everything, where the breakfast vouchers were was one thing & I HAD to look for them and find them before doing anything else. As I finally got snoozing again my mind was running with thoughts & worries- ah! Don't you hate when that happens
What seemed like less than an hour later the alarm rang and up we got to get ready for breakfast. We had an 8am breakfast today. I saw Donald dancing through the window of reception, so before anything I HAD to see my favourite character, the love of my life, the number 1 duck! I have a thing for ducks, whatever
I was second in line to see him, as they'd just opened it up. A little gutted he was in Mexican outfit, but still chuffed I got to see him in an organised manner (I didn't see him with a queue in a normal outfit anywhere through the parks)
Off we headed to breakfast, a little later than 8am, but Donald does come first. I heard some horror stories about Santa Fe breakfast, but it was fine, a little busy but nothing we couldn't handle. We picked up a selection of pastries, fruit, cold meat, cheese, cereal, juice, and coffee and found our way to a spare table.
We also made up some rolls to take in the park for snacks later on. It seemed a few people were doing this, and no one really cared. We ate what we put on our plate- and I think they're worried about it being wasted more than anything.
After breakfast we went back to the room, I wanted to change- HAD to wear Daisy tee to see Donald, and yes he did notice it
We had a little time to spare, so really we could have gone for a later breakfast, and more of a lie-in would of been amazing. You need as much sleep as you can grab on Disney holidays, that's for sure
We made our way over the parks, again walking. We never once got the shuttle & even when our feet killed on the last day, the walk was still nice and not too much of an effort.
On to Walt Disney Studios today, I wanted to crack Crushes Coaster first as we hadn't done it before, and I had heard about the redic queue waits
Crush was showing 20mins, so we jumped in the line. It was really probably a little less than that. Through the day we saw it get to 45mins, but that was the longest. I guess it pays for rides when it's a quiet season
It is a good ride. It's fun, and I enjoyed it. It wasn't something we did again though. I don't understand why it gets SO busy, and because it does I think they need to sort out a fast pass system. The rides that had them (R&R for example) had 5min waits, so they weren't in use
We then headed to Rock & Rollercoaster- me and Sam love this ride and then Tower of Terror. ToT was good, I adore this ride so much, but the CM's make it and it just wasn't right for me this time. We then headed back to R&R - they were both walk on's at the time, it was fab
We then headed to Toystory Playground, this wasn't here when we came in Feb 2010, so was nice to have a look around. I think it's done well, and I think studios needed it (and more) for sure, as the park is just a little lost compared to Disneyland. I do think it's very child like, and for children- even RC racers is a little fun fair like. The theme is amazing though, and I love all the little details.
Sam wanted to do parachute drop, so we lined single rider & was on within 10mins. It was a bit of fun & Sam liked it. We then lined for RC racers (20mins! & probably the longest we lined all trip) The ride was good, and when you get right up it is pretty awesome. Sam really liked this ride, so I felt a bit bad we didn't get to do it again
