Maximizing the amount of people that can book it, since DCL is charging a premium for it. Maybe when Treasure comes out Wish might go to the 7 night itineraries.

I'll guess they plan the same pattern they used with the Dream and Fantasy. Dream did 3/4 night cruises, and when the Fantasy joined the fleet it did 7 night cruises.
I thought I heard someone from Disney make the comment the Wish was designed for shorter cruises. My guess is the Treasure will do the 7 nights the Fantasy currently does when it joins. The Dream only did 3/4 night itineraries until really this year. You could always do a back to back.
I wouldn't necessarily expect the Wish to switch to 7-night itineraries at that point. As PP mentions, the Dream did 3/4 night cruises almost exclusively for over a decade. DCL may leave the Wish with the shorter itineraries and have the Treasure take over the 7-nights from the Fantasy. Only Disney knows at this point. Early 2024 itineraries should be released later this fall...maybe October or November.
On our sailing of the Sept 9 Wish, there were over 250 getting back on as B2B cruisers. Disembarking, it looked like a similar number for the next sailing. The demand is there for longer cruises. We would have preferred longer but did not do B2B.
I wouldn't expect the Wish to do anything but what it's currently doing for a very, very long time. It's replaced the Dream at Port Canaveral. The Dream was there for its entire life until just a couple of months ago.

I believe that is the plan…
Now:
Magic-west coast & other itineraries wonder did pre-wish
Wonder-Australia
Dream-NY/Europe/Miami (magics pre wish line up)
Fantasy-seven night Canaveral
Wish-3/4 Canaveral
Once Treasure happens that will replace fantasy and I assume fantasy will get relocated to port Everglades or a port tbd
Ship 7 who knows could swap with wish or just be exclusive to Everglades
