Hello! I recognize everyone's risk and comfort level is different and that is completely fine. We are scheduled for Wish in late September. Planning on KN95 masks outside eating and outside air areas due to underlying conditions and training for November wine & dine half marathon. I have 2 small personal hepa air purifiers was planning on bringing (like 6 inches tall)- will these be allowed? They are rechargeable via USB

Leaving them in your stateroom or taking them with you around the ship?

My guess is no either way, but you should just call DCL to ask as I've never seen that discussed here before, so probably no one here knows.

If they are battery operated and recharge via a USB, then I'd see them being treated the same as USB powered fans, which are allowed. I'm assuming you are just planning to use these in your stateroom.

Presently looking to purchase a personal purifier...so many different ones...which did you purchase if you don't mind me asking. Think it's a great idea. Thank you for your input.

We're going to take with us to bars, it is super super tiny like 5 inches

I'll echo the general feeling, in that, in your stateroom it may be allowed, but I'd doubt they'd look kindly on you bringing it into the bars and other indoor, public areas.

Let's try this again (posted once before, but not showing here).

Honestly if you want to protect yourself keep the masks on as much as possible and get the latest Covid booster. That small personal purifier, claiming to be HEPA, is not going to do anything for you.

Think of it this way: virus particles and cigarette smoke particles are both aerosol transmissible.
If a person in the room were smoking (instead of coughing/sneezing without a mask), would your personal purifier capture all the particles (in all directions) such that you would not smell the smoke?

If it makes them feel more comfortable, who cares? Isn't affecting us in a negative

I don't see it being a huge issue with Disney but I would call to find out
The OP stated he/she is high risk for COVID conplications…I was trying to point out what they could do to actually protect themselves vs the ineffective air purifier.
