Ahoy friends!

This will be our first Disney cruise and our first cruise with kids. Looking for fish extender fun, other families to hang out with, and any tips and tricks for Disney cruises. Mom and Dad are experienced cruisers, and the kids will be 4 years old (boy) and nearly 3 years old (girl). Both kids love Disney media and the parks so this should be a home run for them. We've been to Nassau a few times already and usually hit up the Atlantis water park. I imagine the boy will love that so we'll probably do it again absent a better idea. I'm an obsessive over-planner so would love to discuss your ideas and experience and trade ideas.

See you real soon!

Hi! We’re on this cruise as well! Excited to see a thread started! We’ve travelled DCL a few times in the past but not since 2016. Our kids will be 8 (girl) and 12 (boy) as of the cruise! We definitely want to take part in any FE exchanges! This is one of our favorite parts are out cruising Disney!!

So glad to hear there will be another 3 year old! Our plan is for our 4 year old son, Ellery, to spend a lot of his time in the kids' area. He tends to make quick friends at school so I am hoping for the same thing on board. On the sea days we hope to use the Small World nursery. However we don't have any DCL status, so I am nervous that we won't be able to get any nursery time especially during the high demand hours. Assuming we can get childcare for both kids on the sea day, we definitely plan to make use of the spa and Hook's Barbery. We also want to dine at Enchanté during one of the nights where the rotational dining doubles up on the same dining room (so we can experience each of the three included dinners one time). But of course that means getting both childcare and the dinner reservation for that evening, which may not happen without any DCL status.

Overall so far been pretty encouraged by the various reviews of the ship, even the tough ones from WDW News Today and the DCL Show. Very excited about Arendelle based on those, and much less about Worlds of Marvel. Anticipating The Bayou Lounge much more than I had expected from the promo materials.

From the photos, it looks like some of the dining spaces are combined parties? Is that a thing on DCL? I saw a pretty limited number of 2-tops and 4-tops browsing the Arendelle photos. If they are combined parties, can you request to be seated with another family in advance?

Thanks for sharing your tips!

We’re bringing a huge group on this sailing (there’ll be about 20 of us) and we are pumped! Our kids range in age from 10-18, so no littles for us, but it’ll be my 4th DCL and everyone else’s 1st or 2nd, so I’m excited! My husband and I did the DVC Inaugural Sailing this July and it is truly a beautiful ship. Different from the Dream, which I have sailed on twice, but not bad different (in my opinion). I have never done the fish extenders, but I think my kids would love to participate if anyone has helpful hints on getting it organized!

Curious how you all are counting down or getting ready for the cruise with your little ones. We bought this countdown block timer from Etsy. Every day we get to change the numbers and talk about the cruise. The other side has a countdown to Disney World, so it's reversible for our next trip. We've also been watching the onboard ship videos from the Wish and showing the kids all the stuff they will get to do. Same thing for CoCo Cay.

What are your ideas?

Our fish extenders arrived from Etsy today! Our son has been counting down the days to this one and is already super excited about all the stuff to do, especially the kids club and the ship adventure/mystery hunts.

Next up is to get gifts to put in other peoples' FEs!

Some info to help you plan your Nassau day. We'll be sharing the port day with the Carnival Liberty (3.574 passengers), the Norwegian Sky (2.405 passengers), and the MSC Magnifica (3.017 passengers). This is just a little above average for the season. If you're planning on hitting up the Atlantis Aquaventure water park, expect lines to be a bit longer than usual. You can probably still finish all of the attractions during the available time but you will probably struggle to fit in all the extras like The Dig, the beaches, and the indoor dining and casinos.

Hi folks; please remember redirects to Facebook or other sites is not allowed on the boards. If you would rather join an FE over there by all means; but please do not tell folks who are trying to arrange a group here they must go over there. Thank you!
