Disney wireless vs using my data

I have a data plan that rolls over on a monthly basis. Since I've been hearing so many people having issues with the MDE app when they get down to Disney, do you think it makes a difference if I just use my data and NOT connect to the Disney wireless while I'm down there? I'm in a situation where I would have to wing all my FPs and reservations come close to vacay time. Or are the problems with MDE beyond how I access it down there?

I usually start out on wireless in the parks, and if I am having issues with pages loading or the like I temporarily turn off wireless and use LTE. Makes me happy that I have an unlimited data plan, as I did that a fair bit!

Some of the issues with MDE seemed to be experienced more in the app than on the web version. When I had issues with the app this past trip (mid-Aug) I just opened MDE in Safari on my iPhone. Managed to accomplish what I needed to.

I mostly use Disney Wifi, but will occasionally turn it off and use phone/data if I'm in a spot with low/no Wifi or if it's annoyingly slow. If I had to guess I'm probably 75/25... but I could be off there.

I never use WDW WiFi, it's too spotty. I always use my data and never have an issue with the connection (unless I'm deep inside certain attractions).
