I have an interesting idea, that may not work, but I wanted to voice it anyway (wow, look at all that punctuation!!

).
Some on here have two rooms:
1 they don't want book with the 10% off and $200 credit and,
1 they want but at a regular price.
Add to this the fact that there appears to be quite a lot of people that still want to go, but don't want to pay the exhorbent prices now advertised.
The solution:
Is it possible to add a fellow DISer to your party (like you would an aunt or neighbor)?? If so, have the DISer family (of the same sized book into the initial room you don't want) "buy" that room from you for the full price you are paying (ie have them pay you to pay
DCL for it). Then you basically get the $200 credit and 10%, but in cash instead of ship credit. The DISer family gets the $200 OBC added to their room, so they are not out those funds.
Ok, was that understandable?
Although I don't want to go, I will use myself as an example.
I can't afford to go at today's price, so I email twhipple and ask to use their unwanted room (the one with the 10% and OBC). I pay them directly the full cost of the room (without 10% off) and an extra $200 cash for the $200 OBC. Thus, I have a room onboard and $200 OBC for...say...$3000. Twhipple then adds my family's name to the party as occupying the other room (like they would aunt Betty and grandpa), pays for the room with the funds I gave them, and takes the extra from the 10% and applies it to their room instead (since my room actually cost $2700 to DCL, not $3000, a 10% difference).
Then, I would be onboard for a resonable price and Twhipple will get the 10% off originally asked for.
Is this possible and allowed? I am thinking DU can handle addign the extra family, and the money exchange does not need to be known by anyone.
