Disney weekend?

Hi everyone I need your input! My family and I went to disney in November of 2004 and we plan on going back in November of 2007. Here's my question - I am getting some money in the summer from my aunt's estate and I was wondering about a weekend getaway with a friend (no husbands or kids). Of course the only place that we'd like to go is Disney but... would it be worth it to go for just a weekend? We'd arrive early Friday and leave Monday and just hit the stuff that we really want to do. Short and sweet but I'm wondering if it would be frustrating because of the lack of time there or worth it to tide me over until the next "real" vacation to WDW. What do you guys think? By the way - my husband is very supportive of the idea so you can see why I married him!

I live 2 1/2 - 3 hours from Disney & I go for weekends all the time..yes, you will be coming much further. If the money is no problem, I say do it It is like escaping from reality for a short period of time..

We've gone for long weekends. The biggest thing is just knowing you have limited time. Pick what you want to do most, do them. I would also try to avoid having to hit all 4 parks-- that just might be too much for such a short time. Short trips can help pass the time until the next big trip!
