Disney Weekend on a Budget!! Dec 2010

Good Morning Disney!!:):):):):):):) I could awake every morning here...ok maybe with nicer weather. We awoke, no alarms just whenever. I think it was like 8am. I decided forget the pop tarts , we need something half way decent. Although DD(6) decided she just wanted a danish I had brought. Went down with Sydney to fill our mugs. Sent her back with them while I checked everything out. :) They had biscuts and gravy. This honestly is a shot in the dark cause everyones b&g is different. I ordered one adult order, and one kids scrambled eggs with bacon. Del and I split the B&G and Syd ate the kids eggs. It was good!! Amazingly enough:thumbsup2

Everyone got their showers and we all got ready and headed for the bus. Today we were going to Hollywood Studios. It was a bit chilly and really windy but we were gonna make the best of it! After our long ride on the bus, we headed to the ticket counters. See we had "Give a Day, Get a Day" vouchers for our volunteering during 2010. We were given hard tickets and buttons to wear that said "Honored Volunteer". Nelia asked why we got those and I said it was to honor our special volunteering we did all yr!

As we headed into the park, the kids wanted a photopass pic in front of the Sorcerer Mickey hat. Disappointing to me there wasn't even ONE photopass photographer done the street. So we headed to Toy Story Mania. We had heard soo much about it that the girls just had to go there first. Although on our way, we got sidetracked in "Honey I shrunk the kids". Of course I have no pics of that cause my raw files won't convert:sad2:

So off to the best ride! the line was only 15 mins:yay: Oh yeah!!! That's what I'm talking about!!

Oh yeah it was awesome. We had the best time. I think we could have rode it all day! But I guess we had to see other things. Off to the Indian jones show. We needed things indoors or at least where we could huddle with others...:rotfl:
The kids loved all the action. DH loved it as well!! Plus the volunteers were funny!

I loved the photos my camera caught!!! Thank Goodness we had the Castle fleece blanket, came in handy for covering up during the shows. Now we headed to the Backstage tour. That was ok. I swear I remember it being more dramatic as a child...haha maybe that's why it was more dramamtic cause I was a kid the last time I went to that.

Well I guess this will have to do. New Years Eve errands and planning is calling my name. Hope you all enjoy the photos...will finish tomorrow!!! Safe parties to you all!!:dance3:

Having to wait only 15 minutes for Toy Story Mania was amazing. I ended up waiting for nearly two hours last year, but it is a good ride.

So after the Indian jones show, we decided we need some lunch. We headed to the ABC commissary and everyone else had the same idea! So we noticed the line was 20 mins or so long so Del said he would find us a seat and wait there. I waited in line and ordered 4 kids meals. Honestly for lunch it waas plenty for all of us. And the plus was that it only cost $20. $5 kids meals not bad for Disney! So once we were warmed up and had lunch we headed out for more. . It was very good that DH got seats or else we would have been outside in the cold.
After lunch the girls wanted to give Toy Story Mania another go. So we headed that way--the line said 90 mins and no more fast passes were being given out at this time! So we decided to head for something else and return later. We headed for the stunt show, did that. It was cool but the kids like Indiana Jones better. Then we went to One Man's Dream!! Oh I loved walking through this. I really loved it. Knowing the day before was Walt's Bday and I was in the Magic Kingdom made this walk through more special. He truely was a brillant man. I feel his dream every time I am in WDW and the Magic whenever I am there and on the cruise. Even though the cruise ships weren't his first dream, they have carried his vision over to DCL.

Boy does that bring back memories. I love Mickey Mouse Club... I used to have the record and play it all the time!!! I even have an old kids stool with the logo...Hmmm I wonder how much it's worth!

After this and we were warmed, we ran into the Einstines.

You got yourself a bargain for lunch there. I am the other way round. I love the Lights, Motors, Action Show (but have only ever seen this at Walt Disney Studios in Paris), but I don't particularly like the Indiana Jones show.
