Videography isn't listed in the 'intimate" can we add that option?

Also, when and where do we get to view the photos we want printed up?

Also, interested in this...

For those that did video...how long did you book for...
if the wedding is in the morning or afternoon and you had a night recpetion or a dessert party.... did you have them booked for that many hours... do you have to pay more for them to "wait around" for a late reception or is it charged on the amount of hours you want covered?

Videography for the intimate package.
$800 gives you 2 VHS tapes
$1065 gives you 1 DVD

This is two hours combined of pre-ceremony, ceremony and post ceremony.

If you are at the WP you get three camera coverage. Outdoor locations get two cameras.
You than get 1 camera to cover the pre and post ceremony.

for an additional $250 you can add on a photo montage to your video. This would be a series of 20 pictures set to music. These could be pictures of the couple through out their relationship, or pictures of the both of you growing up or something.

I am pretty certain that you have to use the two hours consecutively. I'm sure you could check into getting extra hours when you need them, but I'm not sure the cost of that, and there may be a minimum as to how many hours you need to book.

I hope this helps some of you!

Also, your wedding pics should be on the site about 2 weeks or so after your wedding date. You can then choose what you want off of the website.

However, if you contact Disney before hand, you may purchase ALL of your prints for about $225. This is actually a better deal if you want ALL of your prints. To purchase just one 4x6 print I think it is like $12. I would say you get between 60 and 80 prints. I think they are actually proofs. they are the 4x5 size.

Please keep in mind that the prices I've listed for video and photography are prices for 2004. They may change by next year.

I looked into Disney videography and thought they were awfully expensive. Here is the info for the co. I'm using (same co. as fantastia sam and her video is post) he is super nice and gets back to you quickly.

Intimate Package $575
"Wedding Book" open & close with invitation
2 cameras covering ceremony
Music mixed throughout video where appropriate
1 VHS or 1 DVD copy of completed video
Up to 2 hours of wedding day coverage
"Slow-motion Retrospective"

Good luck

One of the things that actually put us off using Disney for Video was that they charge exorbitant prices for DVD copies

$100 at time of ordering or $325 in the future

STVS
$35 at time of ordering or $55 in the future

BIG difference huh ?

Also again you don't know who you will get to video (same as photography) the wedding where as using a company like STVS you do know exactly who is videoing and therefore have the opportunity to view their work.

I really wanted to use STVS but unfortunately due to my dithering we missed out. We have now gone with Creative Wedding Videos who are great and really helpful, they are charging us $625 for 3 and a half hours and various bits and pieces so I didn't think that was too bad.

OH man.... i think im almost up to the cost of a custom!!! :teeth:

i cant stop finding ways to spend money... but i think id regret it if i didnt video it.

There are lots of great options for Videography without going through DPS. We used Video Artistry and paid $1250 for unlimited time on the wedding day, 3 camera coverage of ceremony, 2 of reception, photo montage, and highlight reel.

Firefly...I'm having trouble viewing your wedding pictures. It's telling me I have to login. I want to view your magical night :p so I can see what I have in store for myself. Oh and we chose the Poly because the room in the GF is gone already. :( Also, we are going to check with all the the media companies you all have listed to see what good deals we can get.

Another thing, 2 years ago (after 18 years of marriage to a Spaniard) I became fluent in Spanish so my DH wants us to have the ceremony in his language. Will they accomodate this if we ask. I'm awaiting another call from Disney Wedding (tapping my fingers) so in the meantime I hope to get an answer from here first.

You will need to register on ofoto to see my pics. I do that to keep track of who is looking at them. Just follow the instructions on how to register.

There are several officiants WDW uses who are bilingual, so a Spanish ceremony shouldn't be a problem.

Your pictures are beautifu!!! I'm excited. My DD will be there and she will have such a great time with Mickey being so up and personal. I opened my big mouth and now the whole entire family will be flying in from around the world to the World.. Sheesh! LOL! I'm so happy they all want to be apart of the Magic. Of course they asked if Mickey would be there.

Your cake was not two tier, was it? Did you special order that cake? Did you get to see everything before hand like the dressed up reception hall and the outside where you were married?

Ah, just so you won't wonder who the heck was looking... I am planning to use Disney event photography for some family portraits in December and I can't seem to find out much info. I popped over here thinking brides usually know lots of photographers, lol. Your pictures are gorgeous. I also love, love, love your wedding cake. Was the castle edible? Did you get to keep it?

We're spending Christmas at the Poly. Did you like the Poly? What longhouse were you in? The info I've picked up along the way said we could pick either a park before opening or any of the resorts and we're leaning toward using the Poly beaches as our backdrop.

Thanks for any tips or info.

Thanks Tanya! Isn't it great having everybody coming in to be part of the magic?

My cake was 3 tier. It was $7.50 per person (min of 50 people) plus $100 for the cake topper - which was made of white chocolate!

We went up for a planning session several months before the wedding, so we got to see all the locations we had chosen. At the time of our planning session, we were actually booked into a different room at the BoardWalk for our reception, which I didn't like as much, so we switched to the St James Room & Patio. And yes, before we were introduced to the crowd, we got to see the reception area decorated - it was amazing!

Thanks so much Carla! I haven't seen any DPS family portraits, I hope once yours are done you will post them here, I'd love to se them! We were very happy with our DPS photographer, Paul Luper. And yeah, the castle was white chocolate, so it is edible! we got to keep it but it didn't transport so well home (the grandparents didn't keep as close an eye on it as they should have, LOL) so it arrived a bit mushy. Still tasted yummy though!

We were in the Tokelaud Building and really liked it. I think the Poly beaches would be a beautiful backdrop for your pics, I have seen wedding photos there and also in the lobby area and they are gorgeous!

Firefly Girl - I love looking at wedding pics. Had to check yours out too. You looked so beautiful on your special day! And your cake was incredible looking. Loved that cake top.

I booked with Disney already for the videography...does anyone know if I could cancel them now. My wedding is 5/5/05.
