Disney Wedding Cakes

My planner told me that if you marry at the Wedding Pavilion, you can upgrade the standard cake. I was looking at the wish book (disneyweddings.com) and they do not list the cakes and their prices there. Does anyone have a way that I can see a list of cakes and prices, or is my only option to go to Disney and ask to see a book? Any help would be appreciated, pics of cakes with prices, or whatever. I want to know what the "damage" will be.

That's a great link. Thanks! The prices are from 2003 though, anything more recent? Also, I would like to have a banana cake with cream cheese frosting. Does anyone know if this is one of the options? What are the custom cake flavor options?

Just FYI we were not married at the WP and we did have a custom cake at our Intimate. This was last year though and I know the rules change overnight!

Yes, intimate. I was not clear, but yes. My EP said that when you have an intimate at the WP you can upgrade the cake, but if you choose an outdoor location you cannot. Her answer to me was only about 2 weeks ago, so it's pretty new.

I'm upset that I don't see banana cake as one of the flavors

That's a shame. I wonder why they changed that? Our cake was fabulous and definitely worth the upgrade I hope you find a cake you love!

My planner sent me a cd with the pictures of cake options and a price list. The cheapest cake was $7.50pp and they go up from there. It seems the more elaborate the cake the more expensive! I'm not sure how it works for an intimate wedding (which it sounds like you may be having). The cake I selected is listed at $7.50 - but when I received my budget it was listed as $10, and another $2 service charge!?! Not sure how that happened!

I'm sure if you request the cake pricing Disney would be happy to send it to you. If you saw one in particular you like you can pm me and I can give you the price I have listed. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the advice, my planner is sending me a copy of the CD. I read that with the intimate, they make you pay the difference between the cake you choose and the cake you get in the intimate.

That is correct. I think they give you arounf $250 - 265 credit for the standard cake. You only pay the difference....
