We will be doing a waterpark this year for the first time. My son is 10 and is a thrill seeker. He is hoping for BB cuz he wants to ride Summit plummet. (I am not so sure abuot that? DD is 7 and is a little more apprehensive but still loves the water rides. Which park do you think is best and why? Pros and cons to either?
Thanks.

Hi. My boys will be 11 and 8 this summer when we do to WDW. We have gone to both waterparks. TL has THE best wavepool. BB has great slides for families and an area set up with tweens in mind. We always do both to keep everyone happy. What type of tickets do you have? Is there any way you could do both waterparks?

We went to both this past summer. BB is better for thrill seekers. TL is more laid back and relaxing although TL has the surf pool, which can get pretty rough. TL also has Crush n' Gusher which is really cool. I think all in all your kids might like BB better but they'll have fun at either one.

we have tix for 7 days/hopper and water parks, so i guess you're right. We could do both

I don't even like pools BUT the waterparks have really grown on me.

My tip, is if you are going during colder weather, go on the weekends. During the summer, go during the week. The water park is attracts more locals on the weekend, however, they also wear winter coats in 60 degree weather so won't come near a water park in winter.

We were there on a day this month that started out at 60 degrees and then rose to the mid-70's. All of the life guards were wearing ski caps and winter coats. Most of the people around us were from the UK. There were very few people in the park that day.

You're a better woman than me. :) BRRR! Even though I'm northerner born and raised, I could never go to a waterpark when its that cool.

But seriously, we went in September and by noon the waterpark was getting very crowded. And that was on a Wednesday. Couldn't even imagine a weekend day. We went to BB. DS is 7, loves to swim and is a good strong swimmer. DD is 2, but thinks she's 7. ;) BB is great, couldn't recommend it more. When we go back next year, I suggested we try TL. So far its a no.

BB. The older one will like the slides and the younger one will like the ski patrol training area, or whatever it is called. I didn't think that TL had that much for kids. Wave pool is cool but slides are better.

Going in Feb. and will, weather permitting, hit BB. We have no expiration tickets so if we don't get there, no biggie but would like to go as long as it is about 72 or higher. That is, as long as the water temp is comfortable. Any idea what they keep it at?

Typhoon Lagoon is closed 12/25/05 until 2/25/06.

That probably simplifies your decision.

Hi can anyone please tell me if the Crush N Gusher ride at Typhoon Lagoon is only fot 2 riders as every picture i see it always shows 2 people

Without a doubt BB is best for both. There is a preteen area that they both will love, ski patrol area. You can grab a chair and let them have a ball in there. You and dd can wait at the exit for ds to ride summit plumit. Last summer, bb was less full than tl due to the opening of crush and gusher at tl.
