Disney Water???

purewater2go gets my vote too, we purchased them and they work well.

We stayed at the AKL in July. The water had a funny smell when we would shower so we were kind of hesitant on drinking any water from the sink and just bought bottled water.

I've used the Pure Water 2G0 bottles for a long time and they are fantastic.

If you drive to Disney you could bring bottled water, we do that becaue the water taste like rust to us... But the fliter idea is great, esp. if you fly.

We are going to try the water filter bottles even though we do have access to reasonably priced bottled water just because I don't want to have to lug around multiple bottles of water each day and worry about keeping them cold. My filter bottles just came from the DHL guys. I just have to fill them and squeeze out the water before using . . . . I will let you know how they work at WDW.

I don't know how easy access will be to COLD water throughout the parks. I don't really want to have to wait on CS lines just to get some water, and the idea of water fountains disgust me. Those of you with the water filter bottles, where do you usually go to "fill up"?

Also, does anyone know if the purewater2go bottles are dishwasher safe? (Without the filter, of course). I'd like to wash them each day after a long day at the parks, and if I have enough for a load, I'd like to "throw them in" rather than trusting my own dishwashing abilities!

Just FYI because a PP mentioned putting water bottles in the freezer (a really great idea) but the DVC only seem to have freezers. Our refurb room at the Poly did not have a freezer within the fridge, not even a small one.

That was the problem when I brought the Brita bottles three years ago. The water from the taps/water fountains/bubblers (popular term based on where you live!) was very warm and my family refused to drink it. So we wound up buying water in the parks. :sad2: I never tried asking for water at the CS places, though.

This time we are renting a car, and I am planning on buying water at a supermarket or Wal-Mart. I also have one of those small, soft-sided coolers which will fit in a backpack) which I plan on carrying in the parks. In terms of getting the waters cold to begin with, I plan on putting ice in the cooler with the waters the night before for initial cooling/freezing, then dumping out water and replacing with new ice the next morning.

I don't think this will keep us going all day, but we always return to the room midday for lunch and swim, so I'm hoping it will work for that period of time. If anyone has tried this and it hasn't worked, let me know!

We are actually just going to have Staples deliver water to the hotel for us. It was a tip I got on this board. That way I don't have to pack water in my suitcase and I get free delivery from Staples and each bottle of water will cost around 30 cents. We are there for 11 days so I'm going to have either 3 or 4 cases delivered to AKL for me (I tend to drink between 5 and 7 bottles of water a day at home and want some for hubby as well). This seems like the easiest and most inexpensive way to go for me, since I don't like tap water even when filtered with a brita waterbottle (which have somewhere around the house).

We drank at every water fountain we saw in every park. We didn't get sick. I didn't think the water tasted that bad in most parks. A few of the older fountains in MK were icky, but most newer fountains tasted fine. :)

I just got my purewater2go bottles and I love them! I ordered the family pack of the 27oz sport bottles and a few extra filters. They are very handy, I definitely recommend them for everybody. You can just throw them in a bag or carry them anywhere. Just refill wherever you are.

Our water where I live has a funny smell to it. I tried it with that, and it smells and tastes like fresh, pure water!!
