Disney warehouse in Vacaville, CA

Oh Man!! I hope I hope i can make it down there for those plates! :moped: Does anyone know how much they might cost? Why can't this place be in Sacramento!! I still would get lost but i'd be closer to home! :rotfl2:

Keep checking. The past 2 years we have had one in Citrus Heights. If I recall, it's usually closer to Christmas. I think I have picked up presents there each of the last couple of years (well for sure last year).

We went yesterday and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I had never been to one before so I didn't really know what to expect, but the selections didn't seem the great and the discounts were a joke. They still wanted $18 for kids t-shirts etc. We walked out without buying anything.

We went on Saturday. There is a pretty large selection of clothing items. Many of them were 50th Anniversary or said '05 or '06. There were hardly any toys. they did have the crown plates, I wish I had paid attention to the prices, but I didn't. There were some pins available, but overall, not a great selection of stuff.

Here is what I got: a hat, a bobblehead retro pens set, a 50th anniversary ears magnet, and the 50th park map.

I agree that the prices weren't that impressive. If you decide to go, watch your step. There are some serious holes in the floor which are just covered in plastic and it would be pretty easy to fall. This place sure wasn't as nice as the permanent location (by Dland), but who knows? Maybe it will get better before it closes. I won't be going back though, because even though it only took us 1 hour to get there, we spent 2 hours getting home, thanks to the Bay Bridge traffic. UGH

Wait until a week before it is due to close, the prices dramatically drop

I bought one of the crown plates at the outlet store in the Seattle area a few months ago and I THINK it was about $5.00.

Went tonight on our way home from Six Flags. UGH, if I didn't have kids with me that had to get SOMETHING, we probably wouldn't have bought anything.

It looks like they have all the plates displayed, but I'm not sure they have all still in stock. They were priced either 7.99 or 12.99 depending on the plate.

We bought each kid a pin (4.99), and 2 autograph books (1.29 each) and some cute clips for my daughter's hair (mickey hands, 2.39 for 2).

The sweatshirts we bought during our May trip are still $27 (normally 34 I think) so it wasn't a deal in my opinion. A lot of the shirts are still 15-17 bucks and are limited in the sizes they are carrying.

It was hubby's first trip to a characater warehouse, and he was NOT impressed.

Just a reminder, if you are on their mailing list, you get 10% off. I didn't bring the email with me, she asked how we knew about the store and I got the 10% off.

Ok, just got back from Lake Tahoe today.
We stopped at the vacaville outlet last Monday (Aug 13) and I was able to use my 10% off email print out from mouseplanet.com.

Overall I wasn't that impressed with the selection or the prices, I'm so glad I didn't make a special trip up there just to shop.

The best deals I found were Pluto sterling silver charms for about $2, "Where Dreams Come True" lanyard for 99 cents.

I bought my sons hooded zip front sweatshirts orig $38 and then 30% off.
I was REALLY trying to push the red Mickey sweatshirts..but no.

The majority of the clothing was for children, but the prices were not that great so I passed on lots of things. I have found better deals on ebay.
Also, the pins are up past the register, by that point I was just trying to get out of there...my kids were getting the gimmees.
They ranged from $4.99- $14.99...they might be higher than that I was skimming the bins quickly. I mostly saw 50th celebration pins.

I found pins on ebay for about $3 each so I passed.
I was looking for Women's T-shirts, nothing very exciting. My Mom got my husband a GRUMPY T-shirt, not sure what she paid, probably about $15.

I was looking for kids pj's, and was so disappointed when I got to the register only to discover the Nemo pj's (same as the ones at Disney Store) were $15.99. I put them back since they are 2 for $25 at the Disney Store.
The only other pj's they had were Power Rangers.

They did have lots of Men's jersey(Hockey, Baseball ,Football) style shirts, but that might be something to wait until the week before they close.

Considering they just opened I found the size selection picked over. I did check the boxes underneath the table too.

I was looking for mouse ear headbands or hats and only saw the 50th mouse ear hats and pink mouse ear hats.

I was all excited because one of these stores is opening in my hometown in Sept. and will be here until Nov., but after reading this thread, it doesn't sound like there'a all that much to be excited about. :sad2:

I'll probably check it out anyway since the Supermall is about 3 miles from my house.

We went to one a couple of months ago north of Seattle. It was fantastic!! I walked out of there with so many bargains!! My favorite was a blue fleece-lined hooded Tinkerbell jacket that sold for $78 at DL and I bought it at the outlet for $29! :goodvibes

FYI, another is opening at Auburn SuperMall on the 8th of Sept!

Aha, it was already mentioned!

I've been to one of these, and while it's not a thrill-a-minute, you can find things for less than they would have been at Disneyland. Interests vary, as do perceptions of bargains, so it really is a "your mileage may vary" sort of thing. :)

If the Disney Outlet were within 20 miles it might be worth the drive, but as Bumbershoot mentioned perceptions of bargains vary. I love a great bargain, but to me 20%-30% isn't really worth the effort.

Bouncy 54 if it it's 3 miles away, definitely check it out!

It might even be closer than 3 miles. I can see the Supermall from the roof of my house...I know, cause I sit up there to watch the Muckleshoot Reservation Fireworks every 4th of July. "I Can See For Miles & Miles" (Oops..showing my age with that song) :lmao:

I went to the outlet yesterday (drove from Sacramento). The selection was not as good as I have seen at the outlets here in the past. I did, however, find a sweatshirt I liked that was 61% off, originally $38 and I got it for $15. My BF went as well and found many sweatshirts that he liked, but most were not in his size (XL), and the staff said that they did not have those shirts in his size anywhere in the store. He was bummed!

It wasn't one of my favorite experiences with the outlet, and this time I felt that it was mainly clothes, not as many toys, knick-knacks, etc. Lots of 50th stuff, which was expected.

One thing I did like about this store was the space in between tables. I did not feel crowded at all, which was nice!!!

Can't wait for it to come back up to Sacramento though... usually it has a better selection of stuff here, especially since it is usually right around Christmas when they store is in town!

Thanks, bumbershoot! I put my name down for an e-mail list, but never received any information about the Auburn one. :confused3

I, too, went to the outlet this weekend. We are about to visit Disneyland so I thought I might pick up a few things for the kids that Tinkerbell will deliver to them when we are there. I found a few trinkets for the kids, (barretts, cups, etc) that were a great price. I did find a plain pullover for my husband for $8.99. It is extremely large on him, but thought it would shrink when washed anyway. Overall, if you don't need anything now, I may wait a bit before going shopping. :)
