Just found out that disney waived their ROFR. We just bought a re-sell property for the Wilderness Lodge Villas we should be getting our closing documents soon. We are not financing we are paying outright which is nice. Our DVC is a use year of march and 252 points per year. We got banked points as well.

We are very excited and glad to become DVC members.

any advice anyone can give us as being new DVC owners?

I do love that boat ride we stayed at the Wilderness lodge for christmas and have been there on our previous trips. I can't wait to call it home and I can't wait to close so we can book our Disney Wedding trip accommodations and honeymoon.

Can you please post to this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2661661

We all use it as a wonderful resource. Thanks so much

Marylyn

Congratulations and Welcome Home!! Watch out for addonitis and enjoy all of your trips. Oh, and have fun planning too! The Wilderness Lodge is so beautiful at Christmas time!!:goodvibes

One bit of advice I'd give you is, on your next trip try to take a half day and check out other resorts. It's always nice to have a visual, and in the future you may want to (or have to) try others. We bought at BCV, but already have stayed at BWV, and both AKV Jambo and Kidani b/c we booked a bit later and that was what was available. We did take some time to check out BLT and VWL, but didn't make time to go over to SSR and OKW. We have never seen those, and suddenly we were just (again) planning a last minute trip and those are all that are available. I know both are nice, but I wish we had made the effort to check them out in person so we'd have our own feel.

You are going to love the feeling once you close and get your points and are able to put them to use. A lot of the fun is in the planning, don't lose sight of that!

I sure hate that I wasted time reading this as the OP forgot to tell what she paid, which is the most important thing in ROFR posts.
