For those who are visiting 09/06/2008 - 09/13/2008, I figured I'd start a thread for us to stay in touch and see if our paths cross.

We're going to be flying in on Saturday September 6th in the morning around 11:30 AM and driving from MCO to the Polynesian, where if the pixey dust graces us well, we will be checking in shortly after arriving.

We made most of our dining reservations, and there as follows:

09/06/2008
Dinner - Hollywood Brown Derby

09/07/2008
Lunch - Yak and Yeti
Dinner - Jiko

09/08/2008
Lunch - Crystal Palace
Dinner - Narcosees

09/09/2008
Breakfast - Cape May Cafe
Lunch - Marrakesh
Dinner - Yatchsman

09/10/2008
Lunch - Akershus
Dinner - Rose and Crown

09/11/2008
Lunch - OPEN
Dinner - Flying Fish

09/12/2008
Breakfast - Tuskerhouse
Dinner - California Grill

09/13/2008
Breakfast - Ohana
Lunch - GF Tea Room

If you're in the process of making your reservations, and want to meet up or something for drinks or something, just let me know.

I think when we're at Epcot, we might drink around the world (Saki, Wine etc.), but we'll see.

We have a car, so if you need a ride to the restaurant if you're going the same time (saving time from the buses) or something, just let me know and we'll see what we can do. We're probably not going to drive to MK or Epcot because we're on the Monorail, but we'll drive to AK and HS. We'll also take a trip to Downtown Disney at least a few times.

We are leaving around 4:30 PM on Saturday 09/13/3008, to catch a flight back at 6:30 PM. If you're flights are around the same time/dates let me know too.

By the way, the name is Joe and my partner is Chip.

Since you'll be staying..um..very close to where I work (yeah, that's it) I'll be seeing you around for sure!

Of course I'm not one to pass up alcohol :rolleyes1

We'll even call first rounds! I'm not a beer fan, but give me a bottle of Vodka straight and I can do pretty good.

I'll be there 6-13th as well.

Keep hearing conflicting reports about crowd levels and whatnot. How about you?

We'll be in the World by !0:30 am, flying in from PA.

Have a slew of reservaions as well....free dining will do that...lol

I'm all about mixed drinks. The more types of liquor the better! :thumbsup2

Last year we were at Disney the same week after Labor Day...the restaurants were busy, but the actual parks were pretty empty.

I'm thinking it's going to be a little quieter this year, just from an economic stand point, even getting dining reservations was easier then last year.

Which place are you staying at?

I was surprised how easy it was to get reservations, too. After all of the hemming and hawing on here about "get 'em early," I was worried that calling so late would leave us in the dust. But no, got everything I wanted with most times available.

Decided to go on the cheap this year and stay at Pop Century.

Kind of a last minute "Hey I got my Stimulus Check" already trip.

I'm in.

Of course someone will have to make sure I get on the right bus.

No need to repeat my experience in 2004 of winding up at All-Star Sports for no apparent reason when I was staying at Port Orleans.

I still think that bus was mis-marked.

The handful of Absolute Mandarin and Cranberry Juice I drank that night had nothing to do with it.

I swear.:rolleyes1

Chip (partner) has played just about every mainstream MMPORG. He's played Diablo II, Everquest, Everquest 2, Star Wars Galaxies, Vanguard and now he plays WOW.

He's a big time gamer! He buys a new PC about every year to get the best video cards, processor, etc. He's running a Intel Quad Core with a 8800 GTX Video Card on Dual 19" Monitors.

He plays with one of my bestfriend's boyfriends in NYC on some server in some guild thing (I'm totally not a gamer unless it's Gran Turismo).

As for a drink...give me a glass of Grey Goose or other premium Vodka. No ice, no juice, nothing. I'm golden. I also like Martini's, Gin and Tonic and good old glass of scotch. Not much of a beer drinker, love Port and dry wines including barrel fermented whites and of course reds.

Well, if anyone gets onto EverQuest there is a serverwide gay chat channel. Just type /join serverwide.gay:gay to join up!

If you are playing a different Sony game (EQ2, Vanguard, etc), you can /join EQ.serverwide.gay:gay

LOL some server in some guild thing. I love it when non MMORPG people try to understand MMORPGs. I'm on draenor horde side, my main character is RLtwink(yes, that's real life twink....) sadly no one in the game understands what a real life twink is :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I try to open their eyes as much as possible. There's nothing quite like telling some 8 year old to google twink:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

the people above me in my apt complex play everquest. I am afraid to start because it might suck me in. I have to fight to keep WoW from taking my soul as it is.

I'll ask him what server he plays on tonight...I know there are tons of them. His character name is something pretty witty too, some brit slang term I think.

UPDATE: The server he plays on is Smoulder Thorn (sp?). His character name is Chipsia which I guess is just his name, made more feminine.
