Disney Visa

Has anyone had trouble with their Disney Visa and the way payments were applied? We had booked a long weekend at WDW using the 6 month intrest free promotion. When we made a payment, Chase applied our payment to the promotional balances. My husband called and complained, and asked that the promotional balance be reinstated. He spoke to several people in the customer service department, and even had the account investigated. We were told by everyone that "money is applied to promotional balances first". What is the point of having a 6 month interest free promotion if all payments are going to pay off that first. We didn't have this problem when we first got the card. At one point in time, Chase transferred my husband to the "Disney" department, and he was told that the Chase customer service dont know anything about about the Disney promotions.

I think there is a problem here. I would hate to have to cancel the card.

I haven't had that problem....but, they have sent me 2 different cancellation notices that they were closing my account. When I called each time to find out what the problem was....they told me they made a mistake and letters went out to people that shouldn't have. There seems to be alot of confusion associated with that card!!

Every credit card company I know applies payments to the balances with lower interest rates first. I had always assumed that the 6 month free interest promo on Disney Visa was only good if you have 0 balance on the card before putting a vacation dime on it.

Sorry, but unfortunately, I have to agree with the others. All credit cards apply payments to the lowest interest rate first.

I have a Best Buy card and to my knowledge they don't apply payments to the promotional balances first. We did have a problem with this one time, but my husband called their customer service line and the situation was resolved right away. I guess that is why we are puzzled by our Disney Visa situation. Even last year, we didn't have problem with the Disney Visa and the promotional interest rate.
