Anyone have one? Is it worth what you receive as far as vacation credits, etc? Thanks ::MickeyMo

We have one that we use all the time. The only benefit that we use is the 1% return on all of our purchases. There are deals on trips, but they are always for packages, and we never book a package.

We have one and use it religiously. The best part about it is the money that you can save to use while you are in the parks. Last year we had $250 so that allowed us to eat for 2 days practically for free. This year we are planning our trip more than a year in advance so we are hoping to get more out of it. As far as discounts go, they are not that great so if you are not going to use it on a regular basis, it really isn't worth it.

I have been playing the game for 6 months if you pay off your debt every month it is worth it for the 1% They give you back but if you carry a bal they are high there rates are 12% and up!!!! I have called many times looking for a deal on a package none yet?

We use ours all the time also. We pay it off every month except when we use it for a disney package. (You get 6 months interest free). We use it like a debit card and write the check when the bill comes. I am not pleased with the 1%, I personally think they could give you 5% back since you have to spend the money with them. I do like the double points for disney stuff, and the perks like disney movie passes etc. I think it's worth it. If you're going anyway, you might as well get some free disney dollars.

We are going in May and have almost 400.

We never use it for vacation packages. We basically got it for the 1% cashback. We have an extra $300 to spend this trip than we originally budgeted because I forgot we had it until recently.

I would be sure the pay it off each month, though. The interest rates are high.

Our interest rate on DV was 12.99%. Someone on here mentioned they called and got their rate lowered.

So I called the other day and they lowered it to 9.99%!! :cool1:

I use mine all the time and try to pay off the balance every month. Some months are harder than others. Sometimes you get special deals like if you spend XXXX per month, anything over that will be double rewards for 1 year.

We have $420 reward dollars toward our next trip. It's money that I wouldn't have had for our trip if not for DV.

Thanks for replies- I don't know that it's for me since I'm not real good at paying off balances each month. Although I have every intention to... :rolleyes1

I've been using mine for everything and have enough points for our park hopper tickets in November - $600!! Woo Hoo!! It really is getting something for nothing, no annual fee or anything!

i just called too.... and got my interest reduced to 9.99 too!!

I never really used my card much... I always use my LLBean card to get llbean credits... but now that we have booked our trip, I have been using this for the larger items to get my disney rewards. I am only up to 65 now.. but hopefully a few more by June!

So what all do you get points for? Would I get more points for using one at the hotel and the parks?

We have been cardmembers since day one and I do not remember getting double points for disney stuff or free movie passes. How did you hear about these offers? We charge a lot and pay off our balance each month. We had 200 dollars for our last trip and 450 so far for our next trip. I would love to take advantage of more special point offers though.

Yes, I have a Disney Visa....I switched around a year ago and we got about over $320 of Disney dollars on it.

We plan to go back to WDW around 2 years so it should be around $1,000. Probably free park tickets for five of us.

I say it's worth it. PAY YOUR BILL IN FULL EVERY MONTH.

The idea is to use the card for all purchases, and then when you are at the parks, the points (dollars) are redeemable. You will get a second card (blue) which they will load with your disney dollars you have accrued. There is an expiration date on this so it's wise to cash in your dollars just before you plan to spend them at a Disney park, hotel, store, etc. We leave the 23rd of June and my billing cycle ends the 17th, so they will load up my card completely so I have as many dollars to spend as I can.

They sent me an email survey awhile back and it had all this great "stuff" in it. Try the website. When I order disney merchandise I get double points. You can redeem them for all kinds of great things. Our disney store closed last year and now we have to order merchandise through disney direct and they almost always give double points. Good luck.

Oooooh... so you do get double point on money you spend with Disney?

That's awesome news. We're getting married at WDW, so we are spending tons of money there.

Actually, I suspected this might be the case, because we are doing the Spirit of Aloha show for our rehearsal dinner, and I got SO many more points on my card the month I reserved it than I expected to.

We use ours all the time - we just received it in October 2004 and for our trip next week we have 287 credits to use - that should give us a couple of days of food!!!! I just pay it off on-line every month so there are no interest charges.

We're putting on an addition and having my kitchen gutted. Guess what Charge it to Disney!! I cant wait to see what I rack up doing that. I will pay that off completely every month. Can you say Home Equity? :smooth:

I've certainly never noticed double points for Disney stuff. I've charged Disney resort room deposits on the Disney Visa, stuff at disneydirect.com., an AP thru Disney...no double points for me.

But with that said, I have $928 for our upcoming trip. We charge everything and pay it off every month. I paid for LASIK with it; we have a very high health insurance deductible, so all of our medical stuff goes on it. We made a nice sized contribution to our church building fund on it.

The second month I had it, I got 73 points, and I didn't spend anywhere near $7300. That's the month I put over $2700 on it for our rehearsal dinner at the Poly, though, so the only explanation I can think of is double points for $$ spent at WDW. (Plus the regular points for everything else we used it for that month.)
