Please help. If I have 25 Disney Reward Dollars, do I actually have 25.00? Also, if I order my Rewards card, do I have to order a new Rewards card everytime I get 20, or do they keep adding rewards to the original card? Finally, does every Disney restaurant take Disney Reward Cards?

yes, each point is like one disney dollar to spend at disney
locations only.

you can call and transfer new points onto your exsisting card, but remember points expire one year from date of issue. use it or lose it, too.

and I cannot answer the last question, sorry.

anser to the last q.. yes .. disney dollars are like cash.. at WDW etc.. so spend and have fun

Disney Dream Rewards Dollars expire 60 billing cycles after they have been earned. They must be transferred to a Disney Rewards Card in order to be used.

You need a minimum of 20 Disney Dream Rewards Dollars to order a Disney Rewards Card. Once you have the card, you can transfer more Disney Dream Rewards Dollars to it in any amount of $10 or more.

Once it has been ordered, the Card and all the Disney Dream Rewards Dollars on it expire on Dec. 31 of the year folllowing the year in which it was ordered. So, if you ordered your Disney Rewards Card today, it would expire on Dec 31, 2005. It also means that if you were to transfer more Disney Dream Rewards Dollars to it on Dec 30, 2005, those would also expire on 12/31/2005.

The card can be used just about anywhere on WDW property but I would ask before expecting to use it at places like the DTD McDonald's or the ESPN Club. It never hurts to be sure. The Disney Dream Rewards Dollars each have a purchasing power equal to $1 USD.

Can I use my rewards dollars to buy Disney Dollars? If so, that would take care of any expiration problem I might have. ANyone actually done that?

do you just use your reward card at the restaurant or does it have to be converted to Disney dollars?

Here are some more questions: if you were close to the expiration date for your card, as in Mad4Mouse's December 30th example, could you order your additional dollars on a new card, so that it would have an expiration date of the next year?

Can you use it at the Disney Store? I am looking forward to the answer to the Disney Dollars question, too. That would be a good compromise.

How do you add money to the card?

Thanks -

Maddle

Yes. The new card would expire in a year. The only advantage to transferring money over to an existing card is that you don't have to wait for a new card in the mail. (The transfer is instantaneous! :) ).

Yes. You can use the card at lots of places, DL, WDW, TDS...
I noticed there is even a spot for entering your Disney Rewards number when ordering tickets on-line from Disney.

How do you add money to the card?
You go to your Credit Card account on-line and you bring up your rewards account and then follow the instructions to transfer the desired number of Reward Dollars over to your card. It is very easy. :)

With regards to the Disney Dollars question:
The official wording is that the Disney Dream Rewards Dollars cannot be redeemed for cash or a cash equivalent. That would exclude Disney Dollars as an eligible purchase.

However, as with all things Disney, it never hurts to ask. You may get a DisneyStore CM who can do it for you. Just don't count on it. Your best option would be to transfer only the amount that you think that you'll be spending. Given the cost of a WDW vacation, the chances are great that you will spend the entire amount.

When you transfer Reward Dollars how soon do they appear on the Disney Reward Card?

Thanks,
Ty

Ty,

We used all that I had on my reward card at the Disney Outlet in March. I went back to the room and called to have more transferred to the card. At the end of the conversation, I was told that I could use them immediately.
